“Dancing With the Stars” alum Brooks Nader is still legally married to her ex, Billy Haire. Nader is dating her season 33 partner, Gleb Savchenko.
“Plot twist: still legally married,” Nader captioned a TikTok on January 20. In the video, Nader and Savchenko lip-synched audio from Amy Schumer’s interview with Ellen DeGeneres. In that part of the interview, DeGeneres asked the actress about her husband.
“And how is your husband doing?” Savchenko mouthed in the clip.
“He’s great. Chris, right?” Nader mouthed, playing Schumer’s part.
Nader married Haire in December 2019. The two split up in 2022, but have yet to finalize their divorce. The former couple filed for divorce in May 2024.
Fans Reacted to Brooks Nader’s Confession
Fans got a kick out of Nader’s TikTok and plenty of supportive comments came pouring in. Most people found the reveal funny.
“Not Gleb proposing the day the divorce is finalized,” one person wrote.
“Ahh so that’s why Gleb hasn’t proposed,” someone else said.
“Girl get those papers going!!!!!!” a third TikTok user suggested.
“Wait y’all are still legally married tf,” another comment read.
While some fans weren’t too sure about Nader and Savchenko’s romance, it’s evident that the two are happy together. “Dancing With the Stars” fans are now encouraging the relationship.
Brooks Nader & Billy Haire’s Split Is ‘Amicable’
A rep for Nader previously told People magazine that she and Haire had been “living apart for months.” The rep also said that Nader’s split from Haire was amicable. While a reason for the split was never given, a source implied that Haire and Nader were just in different places in their lives.
“She’s a busy person and career wise she’s on top of the world. All relationships are hard and some can be salvaged, some can’t. They’re both truly amazing people. They have just decided to go their separate ways,” the source said.
Despite seeming to be playing into a showmance while competing on “Dancing With the Stars,” it seems as though Nader and Savchenko are the real deal.
“We are together,” Savchenko told TMZ on December 3.
Things seem pretty serious between the two, as they’ve made time to see one another while Savchenko is on tour. For example, Nader flew to New Jersey to catch the show — and spend time with her guy — earlier this month. At one point during an audience interaction, Savchenko brought Nader on stage for a dance.
