Zach Top Makes An Exciting Career Announcement

Summer touring season is a busy time for country music, and Zach Top is no exception. At one of his recent shows, the singer shared an exciting career update that has had fans buzzing. As Country Hub shared in an Instagram post, the “Cold Beer & Country Music” singer revealed that he’ll release his long-awaited new studio album in August.

Fans in the post’s comments section were clearly happy about this update, with several sharing their excitement that the wait is finally over. “About time,” one fan wrote. “Country music needs this dude.” Although fans are still waiting on an official release date, the narrowed-down timeline is a good sign for those anxious to enjoy a new Top record.

Luckily, Top fans won’t have to wait all the way until August for new music. In early June 2025, he officially offered a taste of what’s to come from the new album. The singer dropped “Good Times & Tan Lines,” an upbeat song that has a fun, summery vibe and is faithful to Top’s more traditional sound.

In addition to releasing the song on streaming platforms, the singer posted the official audio on YouTube, where it has already gained traction among listeners. One fan shared their feelings on the new song, referencing all of classic country acts that Top’s sound reminds them of. “Bringing Alan Jackson, Brooks and Dunn, Brad Paisley, and George Strait in one package,” the fan wrote. “Brother you are a gem, keep em coming baby!!”

Top Previewed “Good Times & Tan Lines” Before its Official Release

Although the new tune is fresh for most fans, CMA Fest concertgoers got to hear it live for the first time on June 8th. As Holler reported, Top played the song for fans and announced its official release. This year was Top’s first time performing on the Nissan Stadium main stage, so it was an ideal opportunity to surprise fans with new music.

However, Top actually previewed the song a few months ago, all the way back in April. As Holler shared, Top called “Good Times & Tan Lines” a “goofy little fun summertime song” at the time. We couldn’t have described it better ourselves.
