Tim McGraw is undeniably talented, having built a successful career in country music (and even television) over the years. However, he’s surprisingly humble about his abilities, especially when comparing them to wife Faith Hill and their daughters. As Country Now reported, the “I Like It, I Love It” singer recently told his record label that his family’s singing abilities blow his out of the water.
“I’m the worst singer in the family,” he said jokingly. “All of my girls can sing, and of course, Faith is one of the greatest singers in the world. So, I’m the low man on the totem pole.” He also had some extra words of praise for his wife. “I always say singing with Faith’s like a NASCAR trying to keep up with a Formula One race car because she’s so damn good,” he said.
According to McGraw, this is why all five family members haven’t officially joined forces on a song yet. However, some family members have sung together over the years, and the results have always been stunning.
McGraw Released His First Duet With Hill in 1997

Hill and McGraw have released several memorable duets over the years, but perhaps none is more noteworthy than their first. “It’s Your Love” hit the airwaves in 1997 and became a huge success. The song won four ACM awards and cemented the couple as a combined force to be reckoned with in country music. “We were very early in our relationship, and it was just something that really just brought us together in a way that I don’t know what else could have,” McGraw told Yahoo! Entertainment of the song.
Fans still love throwback videos of the couple performing this duet live, but the song’s official music video has a special story behind it. As McGraw explained in his interview, Hill was expecting their oldest daughter, Gracie, at the time. “I always look back on that as something that not only changed my musical world, but changed my life,” McGraw said.
The Singer’s Grown-Up Daughters Joined Him on Stage in 2025

The couple’s three daughters are stunning and talented in their own ways, more than living up to their parents’ examples. Although they may not be willing to officially get into the studio with dear ol’ dad, the three joined McGraw at the Music City Rodeo in June 2025. The foursome sang “Last Dollar (Fly Away)” together during a major comeback performance for McGraw, who had put live shows on pause due to health issues.
In an Instagram Reel Mayhem Magazine posted, the touching performance became even more special when an old video began to play on the stage’s screen. In the video, McGraw’s three daughters were singing that same song as children. The performance ended with a heartwarming family group hug.
