Going to a concert can be an incredible experience, but unfortunately, fights between audience members occasionally happen, even at country music shows. However, when a fight broke out during an April 2025 Riley Green concert, the “I Wish Grandpas Never Died” singer took matters into his own hands, remaining calm, cool, and collected while addressing the brawling concertgoers.
In a TikTok video shared by Boots and Hearts, Green gets the fans’ attention, points to the venue’s exit, and says: “If ya’ll [want to] fight… go out here and do it.” After calling out the troublesome group, Green got right back to business with a lighthearted jab, stating that the fight would likely continue outside but that he “had a couple more songs first.” The crowd cheered his poised behavior in successfully diffusing the situation. The singer returned to strumming his guitar, and the rest of the show went off without a hitch.
Fans on Social Media Have Praised the Singer’s Response to the Incident
The crowd of concertgoers at the Toronto show aren’t the only ones who have praised Green’s confident conduct; several fans on social media have also shown their support for the Grand Ole Opry performer’s handling of the situation. The comments section of the Boots and Hearts TikTok video is full of praise for Green, such as one netizen who said: “He handle[d] that so very well. I love it when [an] artist is performing and stop[s] to address an issue.” Many others also commented on what a good job Green did under the circumstances.
An Instagram video of the incident posted by Country Reelz also garnered positive attention from fans, many of whom believed Riley made the right choice in addressing the fight with grace. For instance, Country News commented, “Way to go, Riley,” and others echoed that sentiment.
Green Will Perform at Morgan Wallen’s Sand in My Boots Fest While on Tour

Green’s conflict resolution at the Toronto show is far from the end of his 2025 tour. As Green’s official website outlines, the country crooner is returning to the U.S., where he’ll continue performing until his next Canadian concert in mid-July.
This leg of the tour includes a May 17th performance at the “Sand in My Boots Fest” in Green’s home state of Alabama. The event is presented by fellow country star Morgan Wallen and is set to include performers from multiple music genres, including rap, rock, and country.
