Living and working with your significant other can present some challenges, including balancing different personalities. However, Reba McEntire takes it all in stride when it comes to her morning routine with partner and “Happy’s Place” co-star Rex Linn. In a recent appearance on “Late Night With Seth Meyers,” the country music star lightheartedly revealed that she and her beau don’t quite see eye to eye on how to start their day.
“Rex is a stickler on rehearsals,” the singer explained to Meyers. “Every morning we have ‘coffee camp,’ and so, I’ll go get the coffee and he’s got a script.” Although Linn is raring to go with running lines for “Happy’s Place,” McEntire says she has something else on her mind. “I’m like, ‘Can’t we have coffee first?'” the singer/actress hilariously quipped.
McEntire Says Linn is More Serious About Acting in the Morning

McEntire may want caffeine before cueing lines in the morning, but she clearly appreciates Linn’s approach. During her interview, the singer admitted that her partner is more dedicated when it comes to his acting craft during their morning routine, evidenced by his desire to kick off daily rehearsals immediately. She also called Linn’s character, Emmett, “the sane one” in the “Happy’s Place” crew, which allows her to play a role that is different from her more grounded character on “Reba.”
Clearly, their ‘coffee camp’ debate isn’t a deal-breaker, either. After McEntire described their different morning approaches, Meyers jokingly said that Linn should still stick around because he’s such a great actor. The country singer sweetly replied: “Yeah, and he’s a good guy. I like him a lot.”
Fans Can See The Couple in Action For Season 2 of “Happy’s Place”

Fans who have loved seeing this dynamic real-life duo together on the small screen will get another dose of Emmett and Bobbie in the fall. As NBC announced, the sitcom will return for Season 2, although the network hasn’t announced an official premiere date as of this publication. The network announced the show’s schedule return after its pilot brought in a whopping 17 million views after airing in October 2024.
