Post Malone has taken the country world by storm and he doesn’t plan on slowing down.
From hitting the road for his “Big Ass Stadium Tour” to collaborating with country stars such as Blake Shelton and Morgan Wallen, Malone has been on a roll.
As USA Today reported, Malone’s upcoming album is set to feature a more traditional country sound to it.
Malone is on tour with the “Fools For You” band which includes guitarist Derek Wells.
“Performing country music is an entirely different discipline and requires an entirely different vocal delivery from working in pop,” Wells told USA Today. “Moving away from having his voice saturated with vocal effects and treatments has him really working, especially onstage, to deliver a quality show every night.
“There’s also more fiddle, pedal steel, guitar solos. Where we started as two feet over the line into traditional country on ‘F-1 Trillion’ has turned into head, chest, shoulders and feet across the line on where we’re headed with the next batch of songs.”
Malone also expressed delight in working with the band as they share the stage to perform the songs live for fans on the tour.
“Working with these players has been so unbelievable, they’re just absolute legends,” Malone told USA Today. “It’s incredible enough when we’re in the studio, but taking the show out on the road and performing with some of them makes every show that much more epic.”
Malone was asked about what he appreciates the most when it comes to bringing country music to the front of his creative interests.
“I want to make sure I do things with respect,” he told USA Today. “I feel honored that everyone has been accepting and patient with me.”
Post Malone is on the Road
Malone’s next stop in his “Big Ass Stadium Tour” is on June 19 in Los Angeles.
Malone is also going world wide as his “Big Ass World Tour” is set to kick off on August 8.
