Fans anxiously awaited the release of the latest Morgan Wallen and Post Malone country music duet, “I Ain’t Comin’ Back,” for weeks, and they weren’t disappointed. As Headline Planet shared, the song debuted at the top of the Spotify Streaming Chart, and expectations remain high for its performance on the Country Airplay chart.
Although the duo’s first hit, “I Had Some Help,” found a home on Post Malone’s “F-1 Trillion,” Wallen will feature this new track on his upcoming release, “I’m The Problem.” In an Instagram Reel of a recent interview, Wallen shared how the song ended up on his album and how he feels about its message.
Wallen Said he Has “Always Loved” The Pair’s Newest Duet

Although Malone and Wallen released their two duets a year apart, Wallen explained that “I Ain’t Coming Back” was written around the time Malone was working on “F-1 Trillion.” “I Had Some Help” fit well into Malone’s album, but Wallen fell in love with “I Ain’t Coming Back” and suggested that he release it. “I’ve always loved this song,” the singer shared. “And I told [Malone], ‘Hey, if you don’t put this on your album, then I’m gonna put it on mine.'”
Wallen also elaborated on what the song meant to him. “I love what it says, there’s a lot of cool imagery,” the singer shared in his interview. He also noted that he appreciated the track’s subtle Christian undertones, which represent an element he likes to include in his music when he can.
“I’m The Problem” Wrestles With Complex Themes

“I Ain’t Coming Back” is perfectly at home on Wallen’s highly anticipated release, “I’m The Problem.” As Wallen said in a press release People shared, the album tackles more complex topics than some of his previous work. “A lot of the concepts and things we said were a little more difficult with this album,” Wallen said. “We were trying to dig deep on things and trying to find new angles. And I feel like we did that.”
Though its official release isn’t until May 16, several tracks from the album have already charted well. As Billboard shared, the album’s title track claimed the top spot on the Country Airplay charts in just 11 weeks. The song became Wallen’s third #1 hit from the yet to be released album.
