Morgan Wallen took on his Instagram story on May 5 to announce “Superman”, the last song he will be dropping before his album, “I’m the Problem”, is released.
“What’s going on?” Wallen said in his Instagram story. “Just wanted to let y’all know I got a song coming out Friday. One last one before the album, and it’s a song I wrote for my son. It’s called ‘Superman’, and it’s special to me for obvious reasons. I wanted it to have its own moment, and hopefully that’s what this will accomplish. Album coming soon, song coming Friday. Talk to y’all later.”
Fans Got a Sneak Peek of the Song
With the album merely a few days away, fans are looking forward to hearing the singer’s new project. Although the song “Superman” is coming out May 9, listeners heard a 58-second sneak peek back in January via Wallen’s TikTok.
“Been trying for a long time to write a song I loved to my son,” reads the caption Wallen wrote for the TikTok introducing a snippet of the single. “None of them ever feel good enough because of how perfect I want something like this to be. And not saying this is perfect, but I am very proud of it. Here’s a clip, it’s called ‘Superman’”
Listeners shared the excitement for the track in the comments section as one fan wrote “Morgan Wallen killing it again! How can one man make hit after hit! Can’t wait to see him in Houston!”
“We’re all just humans trying to do our best in this game we call life,” another person commented.
The lyrics to the song touch upon Wallen’s past. The teaser showcased a snippet of the song as Wallen sang “Now and then, that bottle’s my kryptonite / Brings a man of steel down to his knees / Don’t always know my wrong from right / Sometimes, I’m my own worst enemy / No, I don’t always save the day, but you know, for you, I’ll always try / I do the best I can / But Superman’s still just a man sometimes.”
Morgan Wallen Is Hitting the Road This Year
On April 16, Wallen announced the 37-track album includes collaborations with different artists. The album includes tracks with HARDY, Post Malone and Tate McRae. McRae is the first female artist to collaborate with Wallen.
The country singer will be hitting the road this year in support of the album. The tour is set to kick off June 20 in Houston.
