The ACMs are a huge night for country music stars, but Miranda Lambert also used rehearsals for the event to champion a cause that’s close to her heart. In an aww-worthy Instagram photo carousel, Lambert shared snaps of many country stars snuggling up to adorable shelter puppies from MuttNation’s ACM Awards photo booth.
Lambert’s friend and collaborator, Ella Langley, showed her support, as well as Entertainer of the Year winner Lainey Wilson. Even host Reba McEntire and her partner, Rex Linn, posed for photos with the adorable pooches. “Thank you to the friends who helped spotlight adoptable dogs,” Lambert captioned the post. She also gave her followers advice on how to pick the perfect dog. “If you’re thinking about adopting, ask to meet your local shelter’s longest resident. The overlooked dogs are usually total sweethearts just waiting for a chance.”
Lambert Founded MuttNation Back in 2009

Of course, the ACMs weren’t the beginning of Lambert’s relationship with MuttNation. As the organization’s official website notes, the singer and her mother, Bev, founded the puppy-focused non-profit back in 2009. As the website further explains, the organization has raised over $11 million dollars to help animal shelters around the country.
The organization frequently posts photos and videos featuring Lambert interacting with shelter dogs. For example, in an Instagram post, MuttNation shared a reel of the singer inviting people to get involved in fostering dogs or volunteering at their local shelters. “I highly encourage fostering, if possible,” the singer said.
The Singer Also Launched a Line of MuttNation Pet Supplies

As part of her efforts to raise money for animal shelters, Lambert also launched a line of pet supplies called “MuttNation by Miranda Lambert.” She partnered with Tractor Supply Co. on the products, which include toys, beds, and other furry friend must-haves. In a video spot Tractor Supply Co. shared, Lambert and her mom give fans more insight on MuttNation’s origins.
“Miranda and I started MuttNation out of a shared passion for stray dogs,” Bev said. The singer further explained how caring for stray dogs has been a lifelong project for her. “Growing up on a farm, there was always random dogs dropped off, and we just would take them in and house them.” The singer also shared that, as her career grew, she felt that helping dogs in need was an ideal way to use her public platform for something positive.
