Miranda Lambert has been celebrating the 20th anniversary of her debut album, “Kerosene,” for much of the year, and her younger brother has also gotten in on the act. At the end of April, The country music star shared an Instagram post featuring photos of her and her brother, Luke Lambert, at a very special anniversary celebration.
The photo carousel includes snaps of Miranda and Luke posing with other event-goers, as well as drag show performers in Miranda-inspired outfits. In the post’s caption, the singer remarked on what a great night she had at the event, and shared a heartfelt sentiment about the album and her brother. “Celebrating 20 years of Kerosene at one of [Luke’s] favorite spots with all of his best friends was the most perfect way to honor the road this record has taken us on.”
Luke Has Supported Miranda’s Career Since the Beginning

Although Luke doesn’t live his life in the spotlight like his older sister, he’s clearly always in her corner. As Miranda shared in her Instagram post, Luke has been supporting her music career since the beginning: “He started building my website and running my fan club when he was 13, and still does that today.” Considering how much Miranda’s fame has grown since Kerosene’s release in 2005, maintaining her fan club has undoubtedly become an even larger task than it was all those years ago.
During the last two decades, Miranda has taken multiple opportunities to show her appreciation for Luke’s support. For example, she posted a photo of the pair hugging and smiling on National Siblings Day in 2020. She called her brother a “smart, handsome Texan” in the caption with the hashtag #thebrainsofthefamily. Back in 2011, she even brought Luke with her for the ACM Awards ceremony in Las Vegas.
Miranda Credits Luke and His Husband Marc With Educating Her About Supporting the LGBTQ+ Community

In addition to supporting her career, Luke has helped his older sister become an LGBTQ+ ally. As Taste of Country shared in 2021, Miranda told GLAAD that, although she didn’t feel properly educated about issues impacting the community at the time, she wanted to be part of the positive movement for change surrounding people’s attitudes. As she explained, he looked to Luke and his husband, Marc, for advice whenever she wasn’t sure how to approach topics or situations related to the LGBTQ+ community.
In 2019, Miranda spoke to Pride Source about attending a Pride event with the couple. In particular, she recalled how it felt when Luke gave her permission to post a photo of the event on social media: “It was so special, and when he was giving me permission to post about it, we both cried because it was such a big moment. I see now, talking about it, why it’s a big moment for other people: because it was a big moment for us too.”
Aside from openly supporting her brother and his husband, Miranda also lent her talent to the series “Queer Eye,” penning the song “Y’all Means All” for the sixth season. In 2022, she told Billboard that Luke helped her come up with the song’s title. She also expressed that she wished she had started using her platform to be a more open LGBTQ+ ally sooner.
