Luke Bryan Gives Fans Rare Look Behind the Scenes of ‘Farm Tour’

Luke Bryan is showing fans exactly what it takes to bring a passion of his to life… bringing his music to America’s Heartland.

The singer and American Idol judge posted a revealing video of just exactly what it takes to stage a major concert in the middle of small-town America’s rural farmland.

The video is a compilation of three dates Luke just wrapped up on California farms- May 15 in Atwater, May 16 in Clovis and May 17 in Shafter, California. It’s the first time the singer has brought his “Farm Tour” to the West Coast.

In the behind-the-scenes video, Luke explains, “Farm Tour started back in 2009, setting up stages right in the fields of small town America. It was always about more than music, it’s about coming home, giving back and honoring the hard-working families who keep us fed.”

“Every Farm Tour show feels like its own small village… a community gathering filled with excitement, friends, family and folks coming together to celebrate music and each other,” he goes on.

Behind-the-Scenes Video Shows Scale of Work to Put on Shows

The approximately two-minute long video’s time-lapse sequences of the elaborate set-up involves cranes, tractors and a large crew. Which is a very different scenario from the tour stops Luke Bryan will make at arenas and stadiums throughout the nation during his “A Country Song Came On” tour. That tour just kicked off May 29.

But Bryan says it’s all well-worth the effort.

“For these towns, it’s a chance to experience something special that doesn’t come around often,” Bryan says in the behind-the-scenes Farm Tour video.

Drone footage shows acres and acres of farmland being transformed into an event venue. That venue then quickly fills up with fans of all ages.

It took 16 years for the tour to make it to the Golden State. But Luke Bryan says it’s been a long-time goal to bring the tour to California farms.

“With the farm tour being such a unique type of show in rural towns we have to be really intentional on where we go in order to have the best experience for the fans all while lifting up the farming community and what they do for our country,” said Luke on his website. “I have always wanted to raise awareness for the west coast farmer and I’m so excited to get to do that this year.”

In a video Luke Bryan posted on his Instagram account May 29, the singer says, “I wanted to change things up and come to California because I think California gets forgotten in how important they are. I just want to make sure that California farmers know that me being a Georgia boy loves them and remembers them and we appreciate them.”

Luke Bryan’s ‘Farm Tour’ Gives Back to Fans

But the ‘Farm Tour’ isn’t just about appreciation. It’s also about giving back.

Bryan’s Farm Tour awards college scholarships to future farmers and helps provide 10 million meals through partner, Feeding America.

Right now, Bryan’s schedule is jam-packed with concert dates for his “A Country Song Came On” tour. That runs through early September. But the singer will circle back to his ‘Farm Tour’ after that.

Bryan will host his traditional fall leg of the Farm Tour with three concert dates. They are:

Sept. 18 — Brooklyn, Wisc. @ Klondike Farms
Sept. 19 — Prairie Grove, Ill. @ Berning Family Farms
Sept. 20 — Lansing, Mich. @ Kubiak Farm
