LeAnn Rimes Laughs Off Teeth Falling Out On Stage [VIDEO]

LeAnn Rimes is taking an unexpected concert moment in stride—and with a great sense of humor.

The “I Need You” singer had a memorable experience during her June 21 performance at The Skagit Casino Resort in Washington, when her dental bridge unexpectedly detached mid-song.

Keeping It Real

“Last night I was on stage, in the middle of [singing] ‘One Way Ticket,’” Rimes said in an Instagram video posted the next day. “I feel something pop in my mouth.”

Rimes, 42, has undergone multiple dental procedures in recent years. She explained to fans that her front dental bridge had fallen out as she performed. “If you’ve been around, you know I’ve had a lot of dental surgeries and I have a bridge in the front and it fell out in the middle of my song last night,” she shared.

Rather than letting the moment derail her set, Rimes quickly ran to the side of the stage, popped her teeth back in, and returned to the mic.

An ‘Epic’ ‘First’

Rimes handled the situation like a pro, but she didn’t hide what happened. “Then I just had to get real with everybody and tell them exactly what was happening or else I would have had to walk off stage,” she explained. “And so, for the rest of the show, I was literally like this, pushing my teeth in.”

The former “The Voice UK” coach turned the mishap into a memorable moment, calling it “the most epic experience ever.”

She even gave fans an unfiltered peek at the challenges of performing under pressure. Rimes noted that during her hit “Can’t Fight the Moonlight,” her bridge completely shifted. “Like, ‘Can’t Fight the Moonlight,’ [the teeth] completely fell in my mouth,” she said.

Despite the mishap, the Grammy winner embraced the moment. “I don’t usually have firsts in my career. That was a first and hopefully a last,” Rimes joked.

She assured followers that the dental situation was under control, saying, “It’s all good. They’re in for now.” She even teased the audience at her next show with a laugh: “The front row, get ready for something to fly out. If you catch them, please return them.”

In a refreshing and candid message, Rimes added: “Like I said, there wasn’t a [expletive] thing I could do about it except either walk off, or just hold my teeth in and sing, so I just ran with it. The show can go on, even in the midst of sheer, utter embarrassment. You just gotta be real with people.”
