New mom Lauren Alaina is using her famous sense of humor to clap back at anyone who wants to criticize her choices as a mother.
In an Instagram post, Lauren tapped into the TikTok trend where someone pretends to speak to a person off-camera, then turns to the camera and says “who said that?”
Speaking from behind her hand, the singer put out a message to those who criticized another Instagram post that showed Lauren washing baby bottles at the kitchen sink.
“Just because I posted a video of myself watching my daughter’s bottles does not give you the right to shame me and harass me and tell me that I should be breastfeeding my child when in reality I’m triple feeding my child,” she said with her hand hiding her mouth.
(Triple feeding is breast feeding the baby, then pumping milk, then feeding the baby a bottle every two to three hours. It is often used to increase milk supply and help the baby gain weight, according to UMC Rochester.)
Lauren Alaina Reveals Struggle to Breast Feed Baby Daughter
Lauren Alaina, who has been very open about both her pregnancy and now new motherhood, explained further in the post.
“My number one goal IS to breast feed her,” Lauren went on in the video. “But she can’t latch properly. So we’ve been seeing lactation specialists and feeding specialists to try to resolve the problem. I am having to bottle feed her, try to latch her and pump every two hours. So mind your business Nancy. You don’t know me and I don’t know you, and let’s keep it that way.”
Lauren then turns to the camera and asks, “Who said that? WHO said that?”
Fans and friends were quick to show the love for the post.
Fellow country singer Martina McBride commented, “Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes!👏👏👏”
Riley Clemmons commented, “PERIOD MAMA”
And Taylor Hughes wrote, “Haha yes! People need to mind their own business. You’re doing what needs to be done to make sure your baby is taken care of, sounds like a wonderful mama to me❤️”

While the new Instagram video has a serious message about not shaming new moms, most of Lauren Alaina’s Instagram videos keep things on the lighter side.
But the singer has also let fans share in some of the more touching aspects of becoming a mother.
After her daughter Beni Doll Arnold’s birth on June 11, the singer surprised fans with a new song called “Heaven Sent.” In an Instagram post, she explained, “To celebrate the most precious miracle on Earth I have decided to release a song I wrote about my daughter. We learned she was coming in a time of deep sadness after the loss of my daddy. I wasn’t sure when I would share Heaven Sent but watching my own husband become a father the last couple of days has made me want to share it with you now. She came just before Father’s Day.
