Lainey Wilson and Ella Langley Share Party-Crashing Surprise

Lainey Wilson and Ella Langley aren’t just country music colleagues; they’re also friends. Recently, the two singers shared a hilarious moment from their friendship. In an interview with Taste of Country, Evan Paul asked Langley if there was anything he should ask Wilson, since she was going to be interviewed later that day.

Mysteriously, Langley said, “Ask her if she has fixed that one deck,” without providing any firm context. Of course, Paul followed up with Wilson during her interview. Once she stopped laughing, the “Wildflowers and Wild Horses” singer shared the story of how something wildly unexpected once crashed her and Langley’s party — literally.

As the singer lightheartedly shared, Langley and her publicist dropped by for a visit, and the three took their hangout to Wilson’s deck. Unfortunately, their night of drinking and talking took a surprising turn when the deck randomly collapsed, leaving all three in shock.

The Singer Said No One Was Injured in The Strange Incident

Although the deck collapse was certainly unexpected, Wilson assured Paul that they all emerged injury-free. Langley’s publicist fell when the deck collapsed, but it seems that even she was more amused than bruised by the incident. The deck was reportedly small, so none of them had very far to fall when it gave way.

Perhaps the funniest part of the story is the truth behind why Langley suggested Paul bring up the deck. As Wilson shared during her interview, she still hasn’t gotten around to fixing it since that day.

The deck may not have been very supportive, but Wilson certainly is. She has frequently sung Langley’s praises in interviews, readily sharing how proud she is of her friend’s accomplishments. In March 2025, Holler posted a TikTok video of the “Somewhere Over Laredo” singer sharing her reaction to Langley’s 8 ACM Nominations.

“I’m so, so proud for her,” Wilson gushed. She also shared that she sees a lot of similarities between Langley and herself. In the clip, Wilson also made a prediction about how her friend would fare at the ACMS. “I would not be surprised that she don’t come in there with her broom and start sweeping it up,” Wilson said, predicting that Langley would win big at the awards show. As it turns out, Wilson’s prediction came true; Langley took home a stunning five trophies this year.
