Country superstar Lainey Wilson is letting fans in on a shocking secret about her closet.
The “Heart Like a Truck” singer is known for her signature look of bell bottom pants.
And when she was recently a guest on Taste of Country Nights, host Evan Paul asked her just how many pairs of bell-bottoms she has in her closet. Wilson giggled and took a deep breath before answering, “I have completely lost count, but, I’ve worn a new pair on stage each time for the past 15 years, so..”
Paul did some quick math, using Concert Archives to find the number of Lainey Wilson’s professional career shows since 2013, which is 685. He added in press days and interviews, where Wilson always sticks to her signature look.
Then he came back to Wilson with the figure of 1,000 pairs. To which she replied, “Yes, probably well over that.”

That’s a lot of pants, but perhaps it’s no surprise.
Lainey Wilson refers to her style of music as “Bell Bottom Country” and even named her 2022 album that.
She has a bar in Nashville named “Bell Bottoms Up,” where she performs sometimes when she’s in town. And she recently released a single by the same name recorded at London’s Abbey Road Studios. In a video for the song, Lainey says, “I am absolutely obsessed with bell bottoms. I wrote this song with my band and it’s gonna be the theme song for the bar.”
The lyrics to the chorus are:
“‘Cause I’m a homegrown, roll your own, light it up life of the party
Yeah I’m a last call, wrecking ball, I’m tellin’ y’all I’m just gettin’ started
I’m fillin’ up these jeans like I do my cup

The ACM Entertainer of the Year even lets fans get in on the look.
Lainey Wilson sells three different pairs of bell bottoms in her on-line store on her website. Those include “Country With a Flare” bell bottoms that are a mix of maroon and cream, “Green Tie-Dye” bell bottoms and “Heart Like a Truck” bell bottoms that feature a swirl pattern with hearts and a touch of leopard print. All three styles typically cost $40 a pair, but are on sale right now for $24 each.
Wilson also has a collab with the blue jean manufacturer Wrangler. The Wrangler x Lainey Wilson jeans range in price from $89.99 to $124.99. The collection also offers t-shirts, a jumpsuit and western wear-style shirts and vests. It comes in sizes for women and girls.
Lainey Wilson Will Play CMA Fest Spotify House
Lainey Wilson will no doubt be adding to her collection of bell bottoms for upcoming performances, including one Saturday, June 7 at Spotify House during the CMA Fest in Nashville. That’s the largest and longest-running country music festival in the nation.
And that’s just one of 40 stops she has left on her “Whirlwind” world tour, which runs through October. And that’s not even counting unscheduled shows like her surprise appearance alongside Reba McEntire and Miranda Lambert at Nashville’s first ever Music City Rodeo May 29.
