Ian Munsic Performs ‘God Bless The West’ on The Kelly Clarkson Show

Country artist Ian Munsick returned to “The Kelly Clarkson Show” on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, delivering an acoustic performance of his latest single, “God Bless The West.” Accompanied by his guitar, the Wyoming native offered a stripped-down version of the song, showcasing his signature Western sound and heartfelt lyrics.

This marked Munsick’s second appearance on the show, following an earlier performance of “Long Live Cowgirls.” The latest single is featured on his new album, “Eagle Feather,” set to release on April 18. This time around, Munsick was en route to the Bahamas for his brother’s wedding when he received the invitation to perform on the show. Fortunately, he had recently filmed an acoustic session of the song, one of several tracks from the album captured in the same style, which was used for the televised segment.

“I would eventually like to meet her and actually be on the show,” Munsick told Cowboy State Daily, referring to Clarkson. “But a lot of those television musical acts usually are pre-recorded or done in the studio. So, it just worked out really well that we had just captured that acoustic live, and it will be a cool flavor, just me and my guitar.”

‘Feather in My Hat’ Ft. Lainey Wilson

“Eagle Feather” marks a significant milestone in Munsick’s evolving career, blending his deep Western roots with modern country storytelling. In addition to “God Bless The West,” the album includes “Feather in My Hat,” a collaborative track with Grammy Award-winner Lainey Wilson. The partnership was born from a casual evening at Wilson’s home, where the two artists played songs around a campfire.

The country star has accumulated several accolades in recent years, including gold and platinum certifications for multiple singles. He has performed at a sold-out Red Rocks Amphitheatre and is set to headline the 2025 Cheyenne Frontier Days with Travis Tritt as his opening act.

Munsick began his career as a bassist and background vocalist in Nashville before releasing his debut EP in 2017. His breakthrough single, “Long Haul,” was released in 2021 and led the way for his debut studio album, “Coyote Cry.” Later that year, he made his debut at the Grand Ole Opry.

His 2023 sophomore album, “White Buffalo,” featured collaborations with Cody Johnson and Vince Gill and inspired the award-winning documentary “White Buffalo: Voices of the West.” The film premiered during the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas and earned multiple honors on the festival circuit.

Munsick followed up with a deluxe edition of the album in 2024, White Buffalo: Introduce You to God, and earned additional gold certifications for “Horses Are Faster.” He also wrote the title track for Cody Johnson’s Leather and was selected as an Opry NextStage artist.

With “Eagle Feather,” Munsick continues to elevate the stories and soundscapes of the American West, offering a modern take on a timeless tradition.
