Sad news for Hardy fans after the singer abruptly canceled the European leg of his highly anticipated Jim Bob World Tour. The exciting shows were originally set to begin on June 19th and end on July 3rd. The “Wait in the Truck” singer was scheduled to visit several countries, including the UK, Ireland, Denmark, Belgium, and the Netherlands.
The 33-year-old, whose real name is Michael Wilson Hardy, dropped the unexpected news on Instagram. It came just three days before the first European show was set to take place. Several were concerned about the singer after the post was shared with no caption, just a blank photo, reading, “I have decided to cancel the European leg of the Jim Bob Tour. It wasn’t an easy decision, but one I had to make for my band, crew, and my family.”
Hiding the like count and disabling the comments, he continued, “Please know that I love you all , and I will be back as soon as I can. Refunds will automatically be issued by your point of purchase.”
No additional details were offered, leaving fans puzzled and worried for the siger. The post was a stark contrast to Hardy’s usual bold, rowdy social media tone.
A Tour That Was Supposed to Rock Europe
This isn’t Hardy’s first time pulling back for personal reasons. In 2023, he postponed a few U.S. shows due to ongoing mental health struggles following a serious bus accident in 2022. “I’ve been dealing with some serious anxiety since the wreck,” he shared at the time, adding that he needed a moment to regroup for the sake of longevity.
While he didn’t explicitly cite mental health this time, fans suspect the decision may be rooted in similar priorities. The fact that he referenced his band and crew shows the weight of touring life behind the scenes. And let’s not forget, even rock stars need rest here and there.
The Jim Bob World Tour was Hardy’s most ambitious yet. It was set to bring his high-octane Southern swagger and hard rock-country fusion across the globe. The European leg was especially buzzworthy, set to visit five countries in just two weeks.
It was a rare opportunity for international fans to see Hardy in the flesh. With a stacked lineup of openers like Sikarus, McCoy Moore, Stephen Wilson Jr., and Koe Wetzel, expectations were sky-high.
Still Set to Rock the U.S. in August
For now, Hardy is still locked in for the remaining U.S. dates. The tour will kick off August 14 in Kansas City and wrap up September 24 at none other than Madison Square Garden. So while the European detour is off the map, Hardy Nation still has a few reasons to get rowdy this summer!
No word yet on whether he’ll reschedule European dates. But, judging by his promise to come back, don’t be surprised if he does! Watch him make a triumphant overseas return in no time! Hopefully with a few extra guitar solos for good measure.
In the meantime, let’s just hope he’s getting the rest and space he needs. Because when Hardy does return, you can bet it’ll be loud, unapologetic, and worth the wait!
