Gracie McGraw, the eldest daughter of country music superstars Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, is embracing Pride Month in a big way! The 28-year-old shared several posts to her Instagram Stories in celebration of the LGBTQ+ community and her own personal identity.
Gracie McGraw’s Public Celebration
Gracie reposted an image from activist Adam Eli that read in bold, all-caps lettering, “EVERYONE GET MORE GAY NOW!” She followed the post with her own exciting message, writing, “Happy freaking Pride. I love being me.”
In another slide, she shared a quote from Marti Gould Cummings, a well-known drag performer and activist. The post read, “Pride began as a riot led by Black and Brown trans activists.”
Though Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have not publicly commented, this marks the first time Gracie has openly addressed her sexuality. However, Hill has voiced her support for the LGBTQ+ community in the past.
The McGraw’s and Their Endless Talents
Gracie has recently been in the headlines for more than just her Instagram posts. In April, she made her Carnegie Hall debut, performing in “The Great War and The Great Gatsby,” a theatrical concert special airing on PBS this Veterans Day. Her parents were there to support her big moment.
For her 28th birthday, McGraw shared a sweet throwback photo with his daughter, captioning it,
“Can’t believe this little bit turns 28 today! Happy birthday to our Gracie!”
He continued, “You are a light in this world, my sweet girl. So much heart, soul, respect and yes, LOADS of talent!!! We hope you have the best day ever and know that you are loved beyond measure! I love you, my little girl.”
McGraw and Hill have been married since 1996 and have been a team ever since. They also share two other daughters, Maggie, 26, and Audrey, 23. Audrey recently followed in her parents’ musical footsteps. She released a cover of Neil Diamond’s “I Am… I Said,” showcasing her beautiful talents. She is set to tour Europe this summer with Brandi Carlile on the Lost Time Tour.
