Ella Langley Credits 30% of Her Success to Iconic Secret Weapon

Ella Langley is undeniably talented, but it takes more than just talent to make a name for yourself. Most mega-stars have other tools in their arsenal, such as a signature look that sets them apart. When talking to CMT in June 2025, Langley jokingly shared that she owes some of her success to a surprising secret weapon: her iconic bangs.

“A lot,” the country music singer said when asked how much they’ve influenced her success. “I’d say at least 30%.” The interviewer even lovingly called her “Ella Bangley” during the clip. While bangs alone certainly aren’t a career-maker, they’ve certainly become a fan-favorite staple in Langley’s style.

Langley Shared Her Secret to Keeping Her Bangs Stage-Ready

One of the most noteworthy aspects of Langley’s signature bangs is just how flawless they look on stage, even while she’s performing. In September 2024, the “Weren’t For The Wind” singer graced TikTok with her incredibly simple secret for keeping her bangs in check: eyelash glue.

While rushing to get on stage at a show, Langley quickly demonstrated how she applies small dabs of the glue above her brows to give the wispy center part of her bangs something to stick to. She also adds glue to the outside edge of her brows to help the face-framing parts of her bangs stay perfectly in place. “To the Dallas Cowboy cheerleader who I learned this hack from, bless [you], Langley captioned the video.

Langley’s bangs are definitely iconic, but they’re also relatively simple to recreate. Tutorials have sprung up across the web, including an Instagram reel salon owner and stylist Wayne Tuggle posted in December 2024. According to Tuggle’s tutorial, twisting the hair and holding it in the right position while cutting are part of the key to achieving this look.

People love Langley’s bangs enough to want to mimic them, but one woman took it a step further. In a TikTok video from the singer’s “Still Hung Over” tour, the woman asked Langley to cut her bangs. “Do you understand that the reason I got bangs is because I tried to fix my bangs?” an incredulous Langley asked. “It was in Oregon, it had been a long day, I was stressed,” the singer explained of a botched DIY bang haircut that eventually led to her now-famous look.

Although Langley wasn’t very confident, she took the plunge and cut the woman’s hair on camera. In the end, the singer gave her a pretty set of simple but flattering bangs.
