Ella Langley is a consistent crowd-pleaser as she spends the summer touring. But no fan has been more excited to see her than a certain 7-year-old who caught the rising star’s attention.
During a stop in Huntington, West Virginia, with Riley Green‘s tour, Ella made the day (and probably the year!) of Cecelia Maxwell. The little girl was attending the concert to celebrate her seventh birthday.
And it just so happens she is the ultimate Ella Langley fan.
Actually, the feeling is mutual.
It all started when Cecelia’s mom Ally Maxwell posted a video on TikTok of Cecelia singing Ella’s hit “You Look Like You Love Me,” as she sat at her table eating breakfast June 5. Ally captioned the video, “Ella Langley in the flesh 😂”
Somehow, that video found its way to Ella Langley, who not only commented on the TikTok post, writing, “I’m obsessed with her.” She also reposted the video to her Instagram account, writing, “Me and this girl are same same”
Ella Langley Makes Her Mini-Me’s Birthday One to Remember
Fast forward to Saturday, June 21. Ally Maxwell has been working social media to try to get Ella Langley to record a “happy birthday” message for Cecilia. In a post, she asks anyone with connections to Langley to get a message to her.
But Langley does her one better.
Ella hooked Cecelia up with not only concert tickets, but backstage passes that got the mother-daughter duo into a pre-show meet and greet.
Ally didn’t tell Cecelia about anything beyond the concert itself. She told Country Now, “Honestly, if you’ve ever been around little kids, you know you can’t tell them something exciting too soon or they’ll explode with anticipation,” Ally explained.
“Plus, I truly didn’t think it was actually going to happen — I thought I was being punked! So to avoid any disappointment, I kept it quiet. Only a few people knew.”
In fact, Ally had to do a little quick-thinking when it became clear that the surprise was REALLY happening. “When Ella’s sidekick came to meet us, I told her, ‘Hang on a sec, she doesn’t even know she’s going backstage yet,'” she said.
But all the cloak and dagger was worth it in the end. A TikTok video captures the moment when the birthday girl Cecelia sees Ella Langley in the distance in a parking lot. Ella Squats down and throws her arms wide, and Cecelia runs into them for a hug.
Ella Langley Invites 7-Year-Old Fan to Join Her on Stage
But Cecelia wasn’t the only one who got a big surprise. At the backstage meet-and-greet, Ella Langley surprised BOTH Cecelia and her mom by inviting Cecelia to join her on stage during the concert.
A video on Ella Langley’s Instagram account shows Cecelia standing between Ella and Riley Green singing her heart out to “You Look Like You Love Me.” In the caption, Ella writes, “miss cecilia, the birthday girl helped me & @rileyduckman celebrate one year of you look like you love me last night 🫶🏼”
So was Cecelia nervous to sing in front of the large crowd? “Not even a little bit,” her mom said to Country Now. “After Ella’s set, she kept asking, ‘When is Riley Green going to get off the stage so I can sing?’ She was more than ready. She loves being the center of attention and hosts many concerts at home, so this was right up her alley.”
