Certain smells can transport you back in time, and country music star Ella Langley clearly feels that way about a particular Bath & Body Works fragrance. While making her mark on the first-ever Sand In My Boots festival, the singer stopped by a Bath & Body Works pop-up event, “Come Back to Your Senses.” While there, the singer had a nostalgic reaction to Sweet Pea.
“Oh my God, I don’t even have to smell this,” Langley said in a TikTok video. “Seventh grade.” Some version of the fragrance has graced the brand’s store shelves for decades, so this is one scent memory many fans likely share. However, the country singer wasn’t done there; in the event’s immersive “Scent and Sound Lab” booth, she gave her honest opinions on several other beloved fragrances.
Langley’s Reactions to the Fragrances Were Hilariously Relatable

Throughout the video from her pop-up appearance, Langley’s reactions to some of the brand’s other scents reveal some clear preferences. One of her favorite options seems to be “At The Beach,” to which she responded, “Wait, I love this one,” as soon as she opened the bottle. “[It] smells exactly how you think it does – coconut oil!”
The singer also hilariously reacted to multiple other options, such as her reaction to Mahogany Teakwood. Langley jokingly asked “You want to know what a studio in Nashville, Tennessee smells like?” when she opened the bottle. Another scent reminded her of Strawberry Shortcake dolls, prompting her to muse, “Why would they make our dolls smell a certain way? So you’re just in your room by yourself, sniffing your dolls? I did, that was me!”
The Singer Reflected on Being Included in the Festival

Of course, it wasn’t all fun and games for Langley that weekend; the ACM winner was there to perform, after all. Speaking with People at the Bath & Body Works event, she reflected on what it meant to be included in “Sand In My Boots.” Langley recalled coming to a different Gulf Shores festival, Hangout, for her high school graduation, which likely added extra meaning to her appearance on stage in the same city.
“It’s just cool to be included on this first year of Sand in My Boots,” Langley shared. “It’s definitely going down in history what this festival’s going to do.” Fellow singer Morgan Wallen curated the festival, which featured some of the brightest stars in country, rock, and even hip-hop. As Morgan Wallen’s website explained: “Each artist, activity, and experience is driven by his excitement to share great music and create memories with fans, friends, and family.” Becoming part of those memories is just one of many achievements Langley has enjoyed this year.
