Dolly Parton may not be the first person you’d associate with Ozzy Osbourne, but the country music icon made a surprise video appearance at his final concert. The singer delivered a heartfelt farewell message to Osbourne, complete with her signature humor.
“Now, are we supposed to be saying farewell to you?” Parton asked in the video. “Well, I don’t think that’s gonna happen!” Instead, she wished her fellow performer good luck in his future ventures. “I love you, always have, and we’re gonna miss you up on stage,” she said. “But you know what? I won’t be surprised if you show up somewhere else, and I’ll be there.”
Parton Once Met Osbourne’s Grandson

Parton and Osbourne aren’t exactly best friends, but their paths have intertwined in some ways over the years. For example, in a TikTok video from 2024, Osbourne, along with wife Sharon and daughter Kelly, reminisced about the time his grandson met Parton in person. During the podcast episode, Kelly described dressing her son, Sidney, in cowboy gear to meet the singer, who made the encounter a great experience.
“They always say, ‘Don’t meet your idols'” Kelly said, highlighting the fact that meeting celebrities doesn’t always meet expectations. “But I say, ‘Don’t meet your idols unless it’s Dolly Parton, because she does not disappoint.'” Sharon agreed with this assessment, calling Parton “An amazing woman.” Osbourne commented on Parton’s theme park, leading the family to discuss the power of the country star’s personal brand.
The Singer Was One of Several Stars Who Offered a Heartfelt Farewell

Of course, Parton wasn’t the only one to pay tribute to Osbourne at his farewell concert. Other artists, including Elton John, also offered heartfelt messages to the ‘Black Sabbath’ frontman. John, who has collaborated with both Parton and Osbourne on separate occasions, also appeared at the concert via video message.
“You are one of the most remarkable singers of our time,” John said in his message, as Far Out reported. You are the king, you are the legend.” In 2020, the two singers joined forces on “Ordinary Man,” a song that subsequently appeared on Osbourne’s album of the same name. Although the world has likely seen its last Osbourne performance, his legacy is unforgettable.
