Jackpot: Dolly Parton Is Coming to Las Vegas

Dolly Parton is headed to Vegas, baby!

The iconic country singer has announced a mini-residence this December at The Colosseum at the world famous Caesars Palace.

In a press release, Dolly says, “To say I’m excited would be an understatement. I haven’t worked Vegas in years and I’ve always loved singing there. I’m looking so forward to the shows in The Colosseum at Caesars and I hope you are as well. See you there!”

It’s Dolly’s first “extended run” in Sin City in 32 years.

The release says Dolly’s show will “weave together seven decades of classic hits and fan favorites including ‘9 to 5,’ ‘Jolene,’ ‘I Will Always Love You,’ ‘Coat Of Many Colors,’ and many more, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see one of the world’s most beloved entertainers at the peak of her success.”

In a post on her Instagram account, Dolly writes, “Grab your rhinestones, Vegas is calling! ✨ I’m taking over The Colosseum at Caesars Palace with Dolly: Live in Las Vegas, a limited-run engagement from December 4-13. Tickets go on sale this Wednesday, June 25th at 10 am PT!”

Die Hard Dolly Fans Can Go VIP

Die-hard Dolly Parton fans may want to add a special VIP package option to their Christmas wish list for the shows that run December 4 through 13.

According to Dolly’s website, “Fans attending Dolly: Live in Vegas can take their experience to dazzling new heights with a range of exclusive VIP packages. Offers may include a personal photo op with Dolly herself, an onstage tour, access to Dolly’s Rhinestone Lounge, a deluxe gift set and more.”

Dolly Parton Avoided Touring For Years While Husband Was Sick

The Las Vegas performances mark a big change for Dolly Parton, who announced in 2023 that she wouldn’t tour any more.

At the time, Dolly told Good Housekeeping, “I don’t tour anymore. I’ve got so many business things I’m doing. And my husband and I are getting older — he’s a little older than I am — and I kind of need to be with him.”

Dolly’s husband of almost 60 years, Carl Dean, passed away March 3. Since then, the country legend has been transparent about how diving into work has helped her manage her grief.

In an interview with the Today Show in May, Dolly said, “We were together 60 years. I’ve loved him since I was 18 years old. And uh, it’s a big adjustment just trying to change patterns and habits. But I’ll do fine, and I’m very involved in my work and that’s been the best thing that could happen to me. But I’ll always miss him, of course, and always love him. He was a great partner to me.”
