Country Star Hopes to Collaborate with Olivia Rodrigo & Tate McRae

From performing at the CMA Fest to teasing new music, Megan Moroney has been keeping herself busy. In a recent interview, the country artist shared she would love to collaborate with Olivia Rodrigo and Tate McRae.

Moroney shared with People she would love to write a song with Olivia Rodrigo in the future.

Megan Moroney Talks Collab

“I would imagine that [our song] would lean sad and angry,” she told People. “I think we would crush an idea like that.”

McRae is also on Moroney’s list of artists she would like to work with. She went on to share she would love to do a “more fun” collab with the “Sports car” singer.

“I’m a fan of them,” Moroney said. “I’ve gotten to briefly hang out with both of them, and I think we could come up with something really cool if the opportunity presented itself.”

Megan Moroney Takes on CMA Fest

Moroney performed on the Nissan Stage on June 7 at the CMA Fest this past weekend. The artist was joined by a special guitarist: her brother.

Moroney brought her brother, Brian, on stage to perform the song “Tennessee Orange” as it has been tradition for the siblings to share the stage at the country music festival for the last four years.

“I’m honored to be here,” Moroney told the CMA Fest crowd. “This is my fourth CMA Fest that I’ve gotten to play. Back in 2022, I played at the Spotlight Stage, which is inside the Music City Center. And I’m pretty sure the only reason people came to see me is because there was air conditioning in there. But at the time, I could hardly afford a band, so I had my brother come play guitar for me, and it was just us. And the next year, I got to play the Platform Stage, and so he came and played the guitar with me there, and last year we had him up, so it’s kind of become a tradition. I mean, he taught me how to play guitar with my dad, and he’s here tonight, so y’all please make some noise for my brother, Brian.”

Moroney went on to share Brian is an attorney “in real life” but for the night he was going to be a “rock star”.

Fans cheered as the siblings began to perform one of Moroney’s most streamed songs on Spotify with over 300 million streams.
