Congratulations are for Carly Pearce, who successfully wrapped her 40-plus-date headlining Hummingbird World Tour. The singer closed out the tour with a special performance in the heart of country music. The “Truck on Fire” singer brought the final run to a close with a sold-out show at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium.
Pearce made sure the last night was unforgettable, performing some of her biggest hits, including her duet with Chris Stapleton, “We Don’t Fight Anymore.” The song was recently certified platinum by the RIAA and earned a Grammy nomination. She also delivered her two-time platinum single “What He Didn’t Do.”
Goodbye, Hummingbird Tour
To mark the occasion, Pearce invited several special guests to join her on stage. Country music superstars Little Big Town appeared for surprise renditions of fan favorites “Boondocks” and “Girl Crush.” The group is also set to join Pearce on the road for her upcoming Summer Tour ’25. Rising artist Carter Faith, who had opened for Pearce on select dates, also joined her for a performance of the Grammy-winning hit “Never Wanted to Be That Girl.”
Reflecting on the milestone and expressing gratitude to her fans and tour collaborators, Pearce took to social media, writing, “We played the final night of the ‘Hummingbird World Tour’ at the only place I would want to go – the Ryman. It was everything I wanted it to be + more. Thank you @carterfaith for singing with me.”
She continued, “You know how much I love you. Thank you @littlebigtown for giving the crowd the surprise of a lifetime. I can’t wait to be on the road with y’all this summer. Thank you to the key writers of my next album & my dear friends for opening the show. And thank you @opry for asking me to unveil the new @dollyparton mic stand. Being a member will forever be the greatest honor. Officially closing this chapter, but I can’t tell you how excited I am for what’s next.”
Dolly Parton’s Special Mic Stand
In true Nashville fashion, Pearce paid tribute to Dolly Parton by performing a special cover of her classic “Jolene.” She also introduced Parton’s new Grand Ole Opry mic stand, designed in her signature pink and purple style. Of course, they couldn’t forget the butterflies and rhinestones to top it off. The custom stand was created as part of the Opry’s 100th anniversary celebration honoring country music legends.
Pearce recently went viral ahead of her final tour date after honoring Loretta Lynn during a Grand Ole Opry performance. She shared a heartfelt voice memo from the country icon as part of the Opry’s 100 Honor Series.
“I’ve loved Loretta all my life, and it was such an honor to celebrate her legacy last night on the @opry stage,” Pearce shared on Instagram. “One of the greatest gifts I have ever received is that Loretta got to hear the song I wrote about her before she passed away. She sent me this beautiful voice text that I got to share with the Opry last night. Thank you for your continued influence, Loretta.”
In the recording, Lynn can be heard saying, “Hi Carly. This is Loretta, honey. I’m layin’ here in bed just takin’ it easy, and I’m fixin’ to get up and wash my face, maybe comb my hair. I don’t know. I ain’t got no place to go, have I? But anyway, I love your song. Thank you, sweetheart. I love you, honey. Come and see me sometime.”
