Country singer Carly Pearce is asking fans for prayers.
The “I Hope You’re Happy Now Singer” put a post on her Instagram Stories that read, “I’m still dealing with this very frustrating vocal strain,” with a picture that looked like it was taken at a doctor’s office.
Carly told fans, “I would appreciate all the prayers and good vibes that I get back to 100 percent!”
The singer has been open about multiple health challenges she’s been dealing with over the past few years. About a year ago, Carly posted a video on Instagram explaining that she’d been diagnosed with pericarditis, an inflammation of the tissues surrounding the heart that causes chest pain, fatigue, heart palpitations and other symptoms.
In that video, she explained that while she wanted to stay on tour, doctors advised her to “alter her shows,” saying, “So, if my shows look a little bit different, just know it’s because I have to keep my heart rate under control right now.”
Carly went on reassure fans, saying, “That doesn’t mean that I’m not gonna be completely fine, it just means, right now, I’ve got to really take this seriously.”
Carly Pearce Has a Jam-Packed Schedule for CMA Fest
While Carly Pearce may be struggling with vocal issues, her upcoming commitments don’t seem to offer much time to rest her voice.
Pearce is scheduled to perform at CMA Fest three times on Saturday, June 7. The singer will perform her own show at Spotify House at Blake Shelton’s Ole Red Bar at 8:30p.m. and then perform with Rascal Flatts at Nissan Stadium that same night at 11:25p.m.
If that weren’t enough, earlier that same day, at 3:00p.m., Pearce is scheduled to perform an acoustic set while hosting “Carly’s Closet.” This is the singer’s fourth year in a row putting her own clothes up for sale at CMA Fest. Proceeds benefit the CMA Foundation.
In an Instagram post about “Carly’s Closet,” the singer wrote, “This is the largest amount of clothes we have ever put up for sale – I might be biased, but we have some of our best items yet! We’re even selling some of my band’s shirts! I’ll also be doing a special acoustic performance. 💛”
Will Carly Pearce’s Vocal Issues Affect Rigorous Performing Schedule?
With the promised acoustic set at the “Carly’s Closet” event, that’s three scheduled performances in one day for the singer. Which begs the question of whether or not her current vocal strain will allow her to sing that much.
In her most recent post, Pearce explained she’s working with doctors to help get her voice back to normal. She’s seen some improvements, but she’s not completely healed yet.
“Thankful for the voice doctors helping me to feel back to myself again,” she said. “I’m ready to SING.”
But Pearce hasn’t shared how it will affect her obligations at CMA Fest.
Carly Pearce’s Summer Schedule Remains Full
Carly Pearce just wrapped up her “Hummingbird” world tour with a May 16 performance at the Grand Ole Opry. But her schedule remains jam-packed even after CMA Fest.
Carly will join “Little Big Town” on their summer tour in July and August. She’ll perform at stops in Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, New Jersey and New York.
