Bunnie XO Claps Back at ‘Fake Love’ Claims After Jelly Roll Viral Red Carpet Moment

Bunnie XO is clapping back at haters who criticized her love and affection for Jelly Roll! The comments came after the couple was photographed kissing on the red carpet at the Academy of Country Music Awards back in May.

While speaking on her “Dumb Blonde” podcast, the TikTok personality and podcaster addressed online critics who have repeatedly accused her of faking her love for her husband. The accusations surfaced after the couple shared a brief kiss that was captured by photographers during the red carpet event.

“They’re like, ‘She’s not really with him, that was a fake kiss, that is fake love,'” Bunnie said.

Addressing the Red Carpet Moment

In a serious tone, the 45-year-old continued, “When you are on the red carpet, you literally have 300 cameras pointing at you at one moment. If I lingered on his lips longer than 10 seconds, you guys would be like, ‘She’s still a whore. Get a room, this is disgusting.'”

She added, “I have lip gloss on, I have an entire face of makeup. My husband has to continue taking pictures after that kiss. Does he want freaking lip liner and gloss all over his face? No.”

The country star was nominated for three awards that night, including Entertainer of the Year and Album of the Year. He unfortunately lost both to Lainey Wilson and lost Male Artist of the Year to Chris Stapleton.

The couple first began dating in 2015 and officially tied the knot in 2016. They’ve been open about their journey together and have recently spoken about wanting to start a family through IVF. They originally met when Bunnie attended one of Jelly Roll’s concerts at a Las Vegas country saloon. The two connected backstage and quickly became friends, staying in contact. At the time, Bunnie was in another relationship, but after becoming single, she and Jelly Roll quickly realized they wanted to be together.

A Love Story Like No Other

The YouTuber also revealed that photographers often request that she and Jelly Roll kiss for the cameras, a request she says is not made of other celebrity couples.

“I don’t mind kissing my husband, but I’m not going to f—ing lock lips with him,” she said. “Same thing on stage, people had a problem with how I was kissing him on stage.”

She added, “First it was I was kissing him too much. Then it was, ‘Oh, she doesn’t like him, she doesn’t even want to kiss him.’ As the brand has grown, we’re in front of children. We’re in front of families.”

Despite the backlash, the couple continues to show mutual respect and affection for one another in both public and private settings. Bunnie has been open about her love for the country star, often sharing how much she values their bond. Demonstrating their strong bond, Bunnie shares custody of Jelly Roll’s 17-year-old daughter, Bailee, from a previous relationship, and his 8-year-old son, Noah, from another.

Back in March, Jelly Roll spoke about his wife on “The Pivot Podcast,” saying, “It’s like, we’re just really getting better. Dude, I love her, man. That’s my partner, man. I used to hate it when people go, ‘That’s my person.’ But I’m like, she’s my person. You know what I’m saying? Like, that’s my person, dude.”
