Brad Paisley Performs Stand-up Comedy With Local Meteorologist

Brad Paisley has enjoyed a long career in the country music industry, but does his talent extend to comedy? That’s what the audience at Zaines Comedy Club in Nashville may have been wondering when he took the stage alongside local meteorologist Lelan Statom. News Channel 5 shared a clip of the pair’s performance on Instagram.

In the clip, Paisley welcomes Statom on stage, saying, “You think his weather reports are a blast?” before launching into a song. Paisley sang humorous lyrics about weather alerts while playing guitar, and Statom contributed the classic Emergency Broadcast System alarm noise to the music at just the right funny moment. The clip’s comments section is full of positive praise for both men, with some remarking on Paisley’s great sense of humor.

Paisley’s appearance wasn’t just an exercise in proving his comedy chops; the event benefited “The Store,” a charity Paisley founded with his wife, Kimberly Williams-Paisley. An online ad for the event, which was called “Groceries With Dignity, Comedy Without,” promised an evening full of laughs, with all proceeds benefiting the charity.

As Knox News shared, this annual event entered its third year in 2025, following two very successful seasons in which it raised a total of $225,000. Knox News shared a statement about the event, which said: “Every ticket purchased directly supports The Store’s mission — because (The Store) feeds the body, heart, and spirit.” The Paisleys founded “The Store,” a market that allows low-income families to pick out their own free groceries in times of need, back in 2020.
