Country music star Blake Shelton has had a wildly successful career, and wife Gwen Stefani has been by his side for the last decade of it. In a new interview with Kelleigh Bannen of Today’s Country Radio, Shelton shared how Stefani’s faith has influenced his. He also made a sweet comparison between his wife an a country legend: Dolly Parton.
“Everything….she sees God in it, and it’s really special to be around her,” Shelton explained. “Her faith is alive.” He went on to explain that Stefani derives joy from her faith and readily spreads that joy to others.
Shelton Agrees Stefani’s Warm, Positive Energy Reminds Him of Parton

Bannen responded to Shelton’s descriptions of his wife’s faith by describing her as “lit from within,” which reminds her of Parton and Little Big Town singer Kimberly Schlapman. Shelton immediately agreed with the comparison, calling both singers “incredible” people. “But Gwen has that, too,” he said, referring to the radiance Schlapman and Parton exhibit. “She just has that.”
Shelton also shared that he has learned a lot from Stefani over the years, particularly when it comes to his faith. As a result, his relationship with God has evolved into something greater.
The Couple Will Celebrate Their Fourth Wedding Anniversary This Year

On June 3rd, 2025, Shelton and Stefani will officially celebrate their fourth wedding anniversary. Last year, both spouses took to Instagram with heartfelt posts in honor of each other. Stefani captioned a throwback photo of their wedding day with “It’s always been you” with a heart emoji, and Shelton responded with his own sweet declaration of love alongside a selfie of the two of them.
Of course, the famous couple doesn’t just share faith and love; they also share music. Most recently, Stefani appeared alongside Shelton on an emotional duet for his new album, “For Recreational Use Only.” The track is a breakup song, but these two are clearly still in it for the long haul. Shelton’s latest record also features his number-one country radio hit, “Texas,” which served as the album’s lead single and hit the airwaves last year.
