For Tim McGraw and Willie Nelson, their country music journey has evolved into watching their children carve their own paths in the music business. On June 6th, Audrey McGraw and Lukas Nelson stunned fans with an unexpected update. As Audrey revealed on Instagram, the pair have written a song together.

In the video, the singers perform “Descent into Love,” a yet-unreleased song, for a live audience. Audrey captioned the post: “Been holding onto it for a while, but the other night we finally got to share it live. I can’t wait to put it out one day, it’s a special one.” The next generation of country music is proving that the genre’s future is truly bright.

The duo’s performance of “Descent into Love” in Audrey’s video is truly stunning. The song is a perfect showcase for both of their voices, and fans were truly loving it. “I need to have this song readily available! It’s BEAUTIFUL!” one fan wrote in the video’s comments section. “A magical thing to witness,” wrote another.

While the youngest McGraw daughter explained that there’s no release date for the song as of now, fans are clearly ready for this song to hit the airwaves. In addition to sharing the song’s background, Audrey included a shout-out to her duet partner in the video caption, telling fans that she was “honored to be there” during his show.

Audrey and Lukas Are Both Touring in 2025

Audrey and Lukas are blowing fans away with their duet, but the two musicians are also focused on touring this year. According to his official website, Lukas will perform at venues across the U.S. throughout summer of 2025, including an appearance at Summerfest with Lainey Wilson.

For her part, Audrey is joining another singer on tour. As Country Rebel shared, she’ll join forces with Brandi Carlile this summer. Carlile’s “The Lost Time” tour will take the singers around Europe, starting on June 20th. Audrey also released her first single, “I Am… I Said,” this year, marking the beginning of her own journey into country music.
