Alan Jackson Honors His Wife’s Birthday With a Heartwarming Gesture 

Long-time country music star Alan Jackson loves his wife, Denise Jackson, and he isn’t afraid to show it. In April 2025, The Country Wire posted an Instagram Reel showing the Grand Old Opry performer beckoning his wife to join him on stage during a concert. They shared an undeniably sweet moment, dancing together to “Remember When,” a particularly meaningful song for the pair. As Alan explained in a video on X in 2023, the song was inspired by his marriage: “Most of that is just reflections of our life, and some of it looking ahead.”

However, the significance of the song wasn’t the only reason the singer decided to pull Denise on stage; he was also honoring her upcoming birthday. A few days after the show, the singer took to Instagram to post a photo of the two of them together, simply captioning it, “Happy birthday, Denise!” with a heart emoji.

Alan and Denise Jackson are among the longest-lasting couples in country, and Denise has frequently been front and center by her famous husband’s side. In December 2024, Country Music Nation shared a Facebook post in honor of the pair’s 45th wedding anniversary. Just a few months earlier, Alan brought Denise on stage with him to accept the ACM Poet’s Award. Video footage of his acceptance speech shows the country crooner proudly holding his wife’s hand and proclaiming, “This is my wife, Denise, up here with me tonight.”

The ACM awards was just one of many recent examples of the couple appearing together for important milestones in Alan’s career. In 2022, Alan received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the CMAs and took the opportunity to show his appreciation for Denise. In a YouTube video of the event, the singer said: “I can’t thank everybody [that] has been in my life all these years, but I do have to say thanks to my wife, Denise… We started out as teenagers and she’s hung in there and rode this roller coaster ride with me for 40 something years now.”

Alan Jackson has had an incredible career, but the singer is clearly ready for the next chapter of his life. In a video posted to X, Jackson shared his reasons for wanting to move on for performing, highlighting the importance of his family: “[I have] had a wonderful career, and getting into my twilight years, and all my daughters are grown, and I got one grandchild and one on the way.” He went on to say that spending less time on the road and more time at home was becoming a bigger priority. “I think it’s getting time to start thinking about hanging it up full-time.”

As People reported in May 2024, Jackson’s “Last Call: One More For The Road” tour is set to conclude on May 17th, 2025. In a statement shared by People, Jackson encouraged fans to come enjoy the over 30 years of his musical catalog live one last time: “Some of the best times are had right at last call, and this is one last call that you don’t want to miss!”
