Jackie Chan Talks “Rush Hour” & Learning English

Clarkson touched upon Chan having to get accustomed to fast-paced English and asked if it was during the film “Rush Hour” starring Chan and Chris Tucker.

“The whole movie I don’t even know what Chris Tucker is saying,” Chan said.

He went on to share he would rely on his dialogue coach who would sit behind the camera and signal to Chan when it was his turn.

Chan went on to unveil how he learned English.

“I learn English in country songs, because country songs [are] slow,” Chan told Clarkson before singing the chorus of  Willie Nelson’s “Always on My Mind”.

As the audience applauded for Chan, he stood and took a bow.

“I’m sorry,” said Clarkson, “I just got serenaded by Jackie Chan, that’s how I’m going to take this day away.”

Fans took to the comments section to share their support for Chan.

“I have been a Jackie Chan fan my entire life! Iconic!” one fan shared.

“What a lot of people don’t know is that Jackie Chan can actually sing. And he’s amazing,” another fan commented.

“Karate Kid: Legends” Hits Theaters

“Karate Kid: Legends”  came to theaters on May 30 and fans couldn’t be more excited.

Fans took to the comments section to share the sentimental meaning the franchise has for them.

“Karate Kid Daniel and Jackie Chan team up…what a time to be alive! My heart weeps for the old times because seeing an old Jackie and Daniel makes me realize how old I have become but at the same time I’m happy to still have this part of my life live up again!” one fan shared.

“Grew up in the 90’s watching his films,” another fan shared. “To see him playing the elder roles now makes me kind of emotional.”

“I am literally having tears streaming down my face as I am watching this trailer as I am a fan of the original Karate Kid hoping this one is gonna bring back old memories from when I was just 10 years old. I am SUPER excited and cannot wait till it comes out so I can take my two boys who are big fan of karate!”
