Actress Olivia Holt took to her Instagram Stories on February 25, 2025, to congratulate newly named cast members of her upcoming horror film “This Is Not A Test” after the addition of three young actors was announced that morning.

The film’s headliners will include Corteon Moore, Chloe Avakian, and Carson MacCormac, according to a report published by Deadline.
Olivia Holt, who headlined the horror thriller “Heart Eyes” that premiered on Valentine’s Day 2025, posted a screenshot of Deadline’s report, over which she added the enthusiastic text, “THESE TALENTED HUMANS ARE GOING TO BLOW YOUR MINDS IN THIS.”
The starlet continued her supportive message to say, “I get to witness their greatness everyday.” She finished with a series of three crying emojis to highlight her overwhelming excitement for the cast.
Deadline Revealed The Three Actors Will Star Alongside Holt, and Shared Scant Details About the Project
According to the report, the three newly announced cast members will star alongside Olivia Holt, Froy Gutierrez, and Luke MacFarlane, whose involvement was announced prior to the February 25 casting update.

Deadline’s report did not give away much about the film, opting to keep details about the characters a secret.
However, the report did share that the film, based on a popular teen novel by Courtney Summers, is currently in production in Canada.
The update also shared that the film will be directed by Adam MacDonald, and gave a basic overview of the plot.
Deadline said the film will center on a dystopian disaster that forces a group of high schoolers to take shelter in a school to protect themselves from a horde of determined attackers afflicted by an infectious plague.
Author Courtney Summers Also Posted to Celebrate the Casting News
Courtney Summers, the author of the novel on which the film is based, also took to social media to celebrate the news and show her admiration for the cast.
Summers shared the same screenshot to her Instagram Stories that was posted by Holt, and overlayed the image with the caption, “Literally an apocalypse where only the extremely talented survived.”
The novelist continued, “An apocalypse of being so good the zombies can’t ignore you. 3 new students students at Cortege High. What a wildly talented cast.”
The Toronto-based writer’s Authors Unbound profile describes her as a New York Times Best Selling Author and award-winning young adult novelist. Along with “This Is Not A Test,” she is acclaimed for writing the dark mystery “Fall For Anything.”
Summers also shared that she is working on a “This Is Not A Test” movie scrapbook.
The author’s fans can look forward to more content coming soon, as her personal website says she is currently writing her next novel.
