Venita Aspen said fans will see a new side of her should she return for the 11th season of “Southern Charm.” In April 2025, the South Carolina-based fashionista told Deadline that she won’t hold back next season after all she went through during season 10.
“I do want to come back for another season,” Aspen told the outlet. “I feel like [if I return], there will be no more holding of the tongue. I’ll keep it classy, as I always do, but I will definitely be sure to share my opinions more often than not moving forward.”
For season 10, Aspen was embroiled in a love triangle storyline with castmate Jarrett “JT” Thomas. The two hit a rocky patch after Thomas announced he had a girlfriend, seemingly out of the blue.
While Aspen and Thomas cautiously reconciled during the ‘Southern Charm” reunion taping, things have since changed after Thomas posted a now-deleted Instagram video that made it seem as though Aspen knew he had a girlfriend all along.
During a March 2025 appearance on “Watch What Happens Live,” Aspen said she was “disappointed” by Thomas’ post. “I’m extremely disappointed in him for doing that and trying to throw me under the bus like that,” she said.
Venita Aspen Doesn’t Want to Film With JT Thomas as of Now
Aspen gave an update on where things stand with her and Thomas following his post-reunion actions. On “Watch What Happens Live,” host Andy Cohen asked Aspen where she stands now with Thomas. “We’re not standing at all,” she replied.
She also told Deadline that her once-close friendship with Thomas is “no longer” important to her. While she has been open to rekindling things with him at the reunion—at one point she admitted she still wanted to date Thomas—Aspen noted that his actions in the two months since have turned her off. “I wish I knew then, what I know now, “ she admitted.
Aspen also shared that she doesn’t want to film with Thomas if he returns to “Southern Charm” next season. “At this time? No,” she said. “Come back to me in a couple months, see how I feel. But right now, I think I kind of got to let that one go for the time being.”
JT Thomas’ Future on ‘Southern Charm ‘ Is Unclear
Aspen has been a cast member on ‘Southern Charm” since season 7 and wants to return should the show be renewed for an 11th season, but Thomas’ future on the show remains unclear. In November 2024, he announced his resignation from “Southern Charm” weeks before the season 10 premiere aired on Bravo.
“I informed Bravo that I will not be participating in the 2-3 remaining green room interviews remaining before [season 10] airs,” Thomas posted to Instagram at the time, adding, “I no longer wish to participate any ways moving forward with the TV show.”
Thomas ultimately agreed to appear at the “Southern Charm” reunion in early February.
In a Q&A posted to YouTube a few weeks later, he didn’t rule out a return to the show should Bravo invite him back.
“I think right now it’s let’s finish this season and one day at a time,” he said in late February. “It’s like beautiful people in beautiful places and it’s like you’re doing cool stuff, and it would be so hard to like not continue and keep trying to grow you know. So, let’s finish this season and let’s see what happens but I think for right now I’m not going to make any decisions.”
