Season 22 of Bravo’s hit cooking competition is set in Canada, showcasing its rich culinary scene. This season brings back fan-favorite judges Kristen Kish, Tom Colicchio, and Canada’s own Gail Simmons. As always, professional chefs from around the world will battle it out in intense culinary challenges for a chance to claim the prestigious “Top Chef” title.


Meet the 15 Chefs Competing on ‘Top Chef’ Season 22

While Kish, Colicchio, and Simmons return to the judging panel, the real stars of the season are the 15 talented chefs competing for the top prize. Here’s a look at the competitors bringing their unique flavors to the table.

  • Anna El-Wattar — Born in Moscow, Russia, El-Wattar is ready to put a Russian spin on the competition. She is the Chef and Owner of Birch & Rye, a modern Russian restaurant in San Francisco, which earned a spot in the Michelin Guide and was a James Beard Award semifinalist for Best New Restaurant
  • Paula Endara — Executive Chef and Owner at Roots in Arkansas, blending Ecuadorian flavors with local ingredients.
  • Tristen Epps — This Virginia Beach native founded Epps & Flows Culinary in Houston, Texas, offering collaborative dinners that showcase his neo-Afro-Caribbean culinary style.
  • Katianna Hong — Originally from New York, Hong and her husband opened Yangban in Los Angeles, a Korean American restaurant that has received critical acclaim, including being a 2023 James Beard Award semifinalist for Best New Restaurant.
  • Lana Lagomarsini — This New Yorker is currently the Chef/Owner of Lana Cooks. A graduate of Northeastern University and the Culinary Institute of America, she has honed her skills in esteemed establishments such as Gramercy Tavern, Restaurant Daniel, and Momofuku Ko.
  • Henry Lu — A Bronx native, he began his culinary journey working in his parents’ Chinese restaurants. He is currently the Chef and Owner of JŪN and byKIN in Houston.
  • Vincenzo Loseto — Hailing from Massapequa, New York, Loseto is the Chef de Cuisine at the one-Michelin-starred Press Restaurant in Napa, California
  • Cesar Murillo — Born in Chihuahua, Mexico, and raised in Dallas, Texas, Murillo trained at the Texas Culinary Academy and is currently the Executive Chef at North Pond in Chicago.
  • Bailey Sullivan — A Chicago native, Sullivan is the Chef di Cucina at Monteverde Restaurant & Pastificio. Growing up in her father’s pub, Goldyburgers, she developed a passion for the culinary arts.
  • Kat Turner — Originally from Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, Turner is the Executive Chef and Partner at Highly Likely in Los Angeles. Initially pursuing a career as an actress and burlesque dancer, she transitioned to the culinary world, attending the Natural Gourmet Institute in New York and working at the prestigious Blue Hill.
  • Shuai Wang — Born in Beijing and raised in Queens, New York, Wang, a 2017 James Beard Award nominee for Rising Star Chef, is the chef and owner of Jackrabbit Filly and King BBQ in North Charleston, South Carolina.
  • Mimi Weissenborn — Hailing from Frederick, Maryland, Weissenborn is the executive chef at Sur Lie in Portland, Maine, and also oversees Gather in Yarmouth and Catface Café in Biddeford.
  • Corwin Hemming — An Augusta, Georgia native, Hemming is a private and pop-up chef based in Brooklyn, New York. His “contemporary Caribbean” cuisine is inspired by his Jamaican heritage and experiences living abroad with his U.S. Army parents.
  • Zubair Mohjir — Originally from Chennai, India, Mohajir began his culinary career after working in finance. He is the founder and executive chef of Lilac Tiger, Coach House, and Mirra in Chicago, Illinois.
  • Massimo Piedimonte — Born in Montreal, Quebec, Piedimonte trained under renowned chefs Daniel Boulud at Maison Boulud and René Redzepi during a four-month stage at Noma in Copenhagen. He is the chef and owner of Cabaret l’Enfer, a fine-dining restaurant he opened in 2022.

Top Chef’ Is Taking On Canada and Boasts the Biggest Prize Pot Ever

Season 22’s challenges will highlight Canada’s diverse food culture, taking contestants through Toronto, Calgary, Montreal, and Prince Edward Island. While they compete across Canada, the chefs will explore the country’s unique culinary landscape. The new season also marks the first time the Bravo hit has been filmed entirely outside of the United States.

During the new season, the chefs will tackle challenges inspired by each region’s specialties, such as the multicultural food scene of Toronto, Quebec’s French-Canadia flavors, and the world-renowned seafood found in Prince Edward Island.

“Top Chef” season 22 isn’t just about the glory—the stakes have never been higher.

According to Bravo, the 15 “cheftestants” will be competing for the largest grand prize in “Top Chef” history. The winner will take home a whopping $250,000, courtesy of Saratoga Spring Water. On top of that, they’ll receive a $125,000 flight credit from Delta Airlines to travel the world.

As if that wasn’t enough, the champion will also be featured in Food & Wine Magazine and will get the exclusive opportunity to attend the Food & Wine Classic in Aspen.

With such an incredible prize on the line, expect the competition to be fiercer than ever.
