Main ‘Vanderpump Rules’ Cast Member to Star on Reboot

Vanderpump Rules” will be getting a whole new cast for its 12th season, but fans can expect to see at least one person from the old guard: Tom Schwartz.

In an interview with Access Hollywood’s “Housewives Nightcap,” Lisa Vanderpump was asked if any of the previous stars would make cameos on the reboot. She explained that some of the new show will be filming at TomTom. Tom Schwartz is fairly involved in that restaurant, and Vanderpump says that he will be on the upcoming season.

“I think we’ll definitely be filming at TomTom as well [as SUR] for sure,” Vanderpump said. “I think Schwartz is going to be more more involved in that,” she added.

The former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star said that hasn’t really thought about casting for the reboot just yet. The reason? She has been hyper-focused on opening her newest Vegas lounge, Pinky’s. However, she’s getting ready to really dive in to finding the right people to star on season 12.

“I think the show will just be different,” Vanderpump said. “It’s still going to have the essence of behind-the-scenes of the restaurant business. And it’s a lot of young, sort of revolving door of kind of crazy, young kids working in Hollywood,” she added.

Schwartz won’t be the only familiar face on screen when the show returns in the future.

Peter Madrigal, who has worked with Vanderpump for many years, will also be making appearances here and there.

In an interview with Us Weekly, Madrigal, who had been a recurring guest on VPR since season 1, expects to be part of the reboot.

“I’m still at SUR, so, logically, [I should be on],” he told Us Weekly on Thursday, December 5. “We’ll see what happens. We’ll see what they wanna do. I don’t know. I have no idea,” he continued.

“It’s gonna be interesting, let’s just put it that way. I’m leaving things in the air. I’m good,” he added.

Madrigal was never a full-time cast member on “Vanderpump Rules.”

Lisa Vanderpump Admitted Having Bittersweet Feelings About the End of ‘Vanderpump Rules’ as We Know It

In her interview with “Housewives Nightcap,” Vanderpump admitted feeling sadness over the whole reboot idea. However, she’s also on board with finding a new group of people to take over the helm in an effort to keep things “fresh.”

“It felt like we told that story. I mean it’d been 12 years, 11 seasons so I think it was time to go back to grassroots…The whole premise of the show was about the restaurant business then it took off,” Vanderpump said.

“I cannot minimize and I don’t want to, the importance of how great that cast was, and how open they were and I love them all but it was time to call it a day and it was all of us, a lot of talks. And of course I’m sad,” she continued.
