Kathryn Dennis Spoke About Her Time on Reality Television
Dennis exited “Southern Charm” after its 8th season, which aired in 2022. During a November 2024 interview on “OFF-SEASON with Olivia Flowers,” hosted by “Southern Charm” alum Olivia Flowers, Dennis spoke about her time on the Bravo series. Dennis said she “didn’t really understand what [they] were doing when [they] started filming” the show in 2013. She also said that she believed she and the rest of her cast had genuine reactions while shooting the first few seasons of the Bravo series.
“It was a wild ride. When we all went into it, I feel like everyone just had no idea what we were doing. We had no even concept of, ‘Oh we’re going to come off this way. So I’m going to make sure I’m careful. Or I’m not going to come off this way, so I’ll make sure I’ll do this,'” said Dennis while speaking to Flowers. “None of us were thinking anything like that. That’s why we were so open to the experience. And that’s what I think made it so good in the beginning. But so bad.”
Dennis also said she “love[d]” her time on the series. In addition, she said she is “thankful for what [she] learned” while being a “Southern Charm” star.
