At her first formal event since undergoing brain surgery and immunotherapy, Teddi Mellencamp strutted her stuff on the red carpet at An Unforgettable Evening in Beverly Hills on Monday, April 28, 2025. By her side was her former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” co-star and close friend Kyle Richards, who has supported her throughout her cancer journey.
“I Feel Good”
Confidently showing off her bald head and surgery scars from tumor removal, Mellencamp shined in full glam and smiled for cameras less than a month after announcing she had stage IV cancer. Talking to People, she stated, “Half the time I’m strong, and half the time I’m crying and sad, [but, at the moment] I feel good.” Regarding her treatment, she explained, “At first I was doing radiation and immunotherapy, but immunotherapy ended up being the thing that worked for me.”

Mellencamp told Access Hollywood, “It’s my first night out” and that she was on day five of immunotherapy, which she explained is the hardest day of the process. “I haven’t stayed up past 8:10 in, I don’t know, 76 days,” referring to the day she went to the ER because of head pain. It was just a few weeks ago that her father, musician John Mellencamp, was calling her to discuss her will and burial arrangements. Luckily, Teddi’s health is on the upswing since she posted on her Instagram that her tumors had “significantly shrunk.”
The Support of Housewives
Mellencamp called the evening “an emotional night” in her Instagram post, and stated, “Cancer research needs all the backing it can get right now.” She also tagged Richards with a heartfelt shout-out: “Thank you for being a great friend and taking such good care of me these past couple months. You are one of a kind.” In Touch has more photos of the star’s special night out at the event benefitting the Women’s Cancer Research Fund.
“Housewives” cast members have supported her with loving Instagram comments, ranging from her Two Ts in a Pod cohost Tamra Judge to Dorit Kemsley to Shannon Beador. At the cancer event Monday night, other Bravolebs were in attendance to support the cause, like Kathy Hilton, Crystal Kung Minkoff, and Guerdy Abraira.
“Real Housewives of Miami” star Abraira was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2023, which she discussed on the show, and has since gotten reconstructive breast surgery. She posed for a photo cheek to cheek with Mellencamp during the gala, which Abraira shared as a story on her Instagram page with the touching caption, “My sister in battle! Keep fighting.”
