“Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum Teddi Mellencamp opened up about spending her first Thanksgiving without her estranged husband, Edwin Arroyave, in 15 years.
During the December 2 episode of her podcast, “Two Ts In A Pod,” co-hosted by Tamra Judge, Mellencamp, who filed for divorce from Arroyave in early November 2024, said that this Thanksgiving marked the “first time in 15 years that [they were not] together for Thanksgiving.” Mellencamp said she and her children, Cruz Arroyave, Slate Arroyave, and Dove Arroyave, traveled to spend time with her father, John Mellencamp, and her siblings for the holiday. Mellencamp said the “chaos” surrounding her family helped distract her from her split.
“I was glad to be with family,” said Mellencamp.
Mellencamp said, however, that she was frustrated by her father and sister’s questions about her separation from Arroyave, whom she wed in 2011.
“There was just a moment where I had to say, ‘Pump the breaks. I am here because I love you and my kids love you,'” said Mellencamp.

In the December 2 “Two Ts In A Pod” episode, Mellencamp also said she has had some difficulty since separating from Arroyave. She said that she and Arroyave used to “divide and conquer” when putting their children to bed. In addition, she said she wants to give her children “some normalcy” following her split.
“At the end of the day, we have really good kids. And they are really loving,” said Mellencamp.

According to Us Weekly, a source informed the publication that Mellencamp and her married horse trainer, Simon Schroeder had a romantic relationship, prior to her and Arroyave’s split.
Mellencamp commented on the reports in the November 13 episode of “Two Ts In A Pod.”
“I’m sure that everyone has seen everything all over the world wide web … And what I can say — which I’m trying very hard — there’s multiple sides to every story. I’m not going to confirm or deny anything. But there’s many people involved,” said Mellencamp on her podcast.
She also said she did not want to speak about her separation for the sake of her children.
“There’s so much that I am not ready to process or talk about or involve the kids in. But you know, I’m sure with time there will be more conversation,” said Mellencamp.
Crystal Kung Minkoff Said Teddi Mellencamp Should be More Transparent About Her Separation
RHOBH alum Crystal Kung Minkoff said she believed Mellencamp should be more transparent about her separation in a December 2024 interview with Us Weekly. Minkoff noted that Mellencamp comments on news regarding Bravo celebrities on “Two Ts In A Pod.”
“I think if Teddi’s gonna come after everybody, she should open up more,” said Minkoff to Us Weekly. “My thing is, I don’t really care personally, but I don’t do that to people. That’s not expected of me. I am super honest and open in general.”
Minkoff clarified she “care[s] about her children,” so she understands why Mellencamp would like the details about her separation to be private. She said, however, that she would like Mellencamp to change the way she talks about “other people’s personal affairs.”
“I don’t need her to expose any of it. That’s their personal life. But I want her to have a little more grace for other people. That’s what I would like,” said Minkoff during the Us Weekly interview.
