‘Southern Charm’ Star Reveals the ‘Only’ Reason She Returned for Season 10

Taylor Ann Green revealed that she returned to “Southern Charm” for one big reason. During a March 4 appearance on the “Viall Files” podcast, the former girlfriend of Shep Rose admitted that she had hoped to film with her former friend Olivia Flowers to reconcile the falling out they had during season 9.

After she was asked how she sees her future on the show, Green replied, “I just do want to have that time and moment with Olivia, which I have, it’s obviously not on camera, but that’s what the viewer wants. And I don’t think that I’ll be getting that moment. And that’s the only reason that I came back was to, like, end on a good note and be able to move past everything.”

Green’s friendship with Flowers hit a rough patch in season 9 when she shared a kiss with Flowers’ ex, Austen Kroll. During an appearance on the “Scheananagins With Scheana Shay” podcast in July 2024, Flowers confirmed that she “super bummed’ not to be asked back for season 10.

Green confirmed that she heard from Flowers ahead of the new season. During a February 2025 appearance on “Watch What Happens Live,” Green said, “We actually have reconnected. She actually reached out to me when we started filming so it was very good to hear from her. She was checking in on me. I’m glad we were able to [reconnect].  I wish you guys could see it.”

But Flowers admitted that it wasn’t her idea to contact her former friend. In an interview with Decider, Flowers revealed that a producer asked her to contact Green because she was going through a rough time.

“I had one of the producers reach out to me and just were kind of like telling me like, ‘Hey, I know you and Taylor aren’t in the best place, but she’s kind of going through it. I think it would mean a lot if you reach out and just let her know you’re thinking about her and you’re there,’” Flowers recalled to the outlet. “And so, I just sent that, texted her, and reconnected and that was that.”

Green is now dating Gaston Rojas. Her relationship has received some negative attention this season, with some cast members gossiping about Rojas’ past, including newcomer Salley Carson, who previously dated him.

In her interview with Viall, Green was asked if she might be “done” with “Southern Charm.” She admitted she might fit in better on “Southern Hospitality,” the Bravo spinoff that stars some of her close pals, including TJ Dinch.

“’Southern Hospitality,’ that would make more sense because I do actually hang out with those people,” Green said. “Those are people I’ve known for a very long time even before they started ‘Southern Hospitality.’ I knew TJ and Brad and Emmy and Will and all of them, so it would make more sense.”
