Jesse Solomon Downplays Bad Blood Rumors With a Certain Summer House Co-Star

Jesse Solomon is no stranger to drama, especially in his sophomore season on Bravo’s “Summer House.” But amid mounting fan theories about behind-the-scenes tension with castmate Imrul Hassan, Solomon is setting the record straight. While viewers have picked up on some subtle (and not-so-subtle) signs of friction, Solomon insists there’s no real animosity. In fact, he says any tension that did exist was minor and will be fully addressed during the upcoming reunion episode.

Jesse Solomon Admits He and Imrul Hassan Did ‘Beef a Little Bit’

Rumors of a feud between Solomon and Hassan began to swirl after Solomon casually mentioned in an interview that the male “Summer House” cast members had a group chat that didn’t include Hassan. Fans interpreted the comment as a passive-aggressive slight. Especially since Hassan has been noticeably absent from certain group scenes. But Solomon was quick to downplay the chatter.

“We spent some time together, but not a ton. He’s not one of my best friends, but there’s no real bad blood,” Solomon told The Blast before admitting they had their moments of tension. “We did beef a little bit.”

Solomon added that viewers will “see it play out on the reunion.”

When asked about the now-infamous “toe-gate” incident, when Solomon entered Hassan’s room while he was allegedly in the middle of a threesome, Solomon was surprisingly candid.

“[Hassan] admitted that he dared me to get my toe sucked,” he said. “Nothing else happened. So, those are all facts.”

Solomon and Hassan Had Clashing House Styles in Their Freshman Seasons

Solomon suggested that most of the strain came from Hassan’s struggle to mesh with the rest of the “Summer House” cast. While Solomon entered the house focused on making genuine friendships, he hinted that Hassan’s priorities leaned elsewhere.

“I wasn’t trying to really date anybody in the house or out of the house. I was just kinda like, let me get to know these people,” Solomon said.

Hassan, on the other hand, appeared to focus more on short-term flings than group bonding. This was a choice that didn’t sit well with some of the other housemates. Solomon pointed to a memorable confrontation between Hassan and housemates Paige DeSorbo and Ciara Miller, who called him out for frequently bringing women back to the house.

“I think the girls’ issue with [Hassan] is he was like, ‘I wanna have a relationship with you guys,’ but then his actions were different than the words coming out of his mouth,” Solomon explained.

What Happened After the “Summer House” Cameras Stopped Rolling?

Although Bravo hasn’t officially commented on Hassan’s reduced screen time, fans have noticed his mysterious absence from recent episodes. He’s even been edited out of several group scenes, prompting speculation that something may have happened off-camera or during the reunion taping.

While Hassan was reportedly present for the reunion on April 24th, he was not seen in any post-show photos or videos with the rest of the cast or host Andy Cohen. A fan account later shared DMs from Hassan explaining he had simply left early.

Hassan also noted that his primary reason for joining “Summer House” was to raise awareness for a school he’s building.

“That was always my big goal in all of this,” Hassan said.

As for Solomon, he seems content with how things ultimately played out

“I feel like I took accountability for anything that I did that was messed up,” he said. “I’m trying to learn from it and be better.”

“Summer House” season 9 airs Wednesdays on Bravo.
