“Southern Charm” star Leva Bonaparte announced she is leaving the Bravo show. “Hi guys! Wanted to let you know that although this year was so fun — I’ll be stepping away from Southern Charm this year on great terms!” she shared in a March 26 Instagram post.
She continued, “I am in a place now in my life where I want to have time to focus on Boys and my Joys. And need some time for a life reset on what is aligned for me!”
“I don’t have a very salacious personal life to share but I do have a lot going on and frankly I’m working on some pretty cool stuff that I hope to share more of soon!” Bonaparte added.
The restaurant owner shared that she may pop up once in a while on “Southern Charm” but in the meantime, she’s still a big part of her spinoff show, “Southern Hospitality.”
Bonaparte concluded, “So this isn’t TV goodbye! Just maybe a you’ll see me a little less! love yall!”
Bonaparte Received a Lot of Support From Her Bravo Family
Following Bonaparte’s announcement, Bravolebrities applauded her decision to leave “Southern Charm.”
“Girl you’re booked and busy n the best way and we love to watch you thrive so keep on keeping on!” Guerdy Abraira of “The Real Housewives of Miami” wrote on Bonaparte’s Instagram post.
“Southern Hospitality” star and Bonaparte’s employee, Michols Peña, replied, “So proud of you!! the best role model, boss, and mom.”
Venita Aspen shared, “So proud of you and everything that’s coming for you! I love you!” Bonaparte told her friend, “love you! And you know I’m always here if you need me! On cam or off!”
Bonaparte Reveals How She Balances Her Personal Life & Work
Bonaparte is not just a Bravo star — she owns multiples restaurants and bars in Charleston, South Carolina, one of which is featured in “Southern Hospitality.”
In an interview with “The Daily Dish” in January, Bonaparte explained how she juggles work and filming. “I think I have really good tools called compartmentalizing since I have this crazy stuff I have to work with all the time,” she said.
“I think that my work just the bar, restaurant business innately is so dramatic that I think I might just have more tools than the regular person,” the mom of one added.
Bonaparte revealed that after she films her reality shows, she’s able to shed her television persona once she steps inside her home.
“I’ve had to learn that that tool [because] I work with my husband, [Lamar Bonaparte]. I always say, if you cannot have really big boundaries with stuff, our marriage would age in dog years, you know. Like, it’s not easy,” she admitted.
