Season 9 of “Summer House” has come to an end, and the two-part reunion already has fans buzzing. From Lindsay Hubbard becoming a mom to Paige DeSorbo’s breakup with “Southern Charm” star Craig Conover, there were some major life changes during season 9 that have fans wondering what will happen next. We’ll likely have to wait and see if Hubbard will be able to party in the Hamptons with a toddler in tow. But what about DeSorbo? Could season 9 be her last?
Paige DeSorbo Chose Career Over Love in ‘Summer House’ Season 9
DeSorbo has been a fan favorite on “Summer House” since joining the cast in season 3, back in 2019. Her fierce fashion choices and her witty one-liners have made her a reality TV standout. But, this past year has been full of big changes for DeSorbo, both personally and professionally. And this has some fans wondering if she could be on her way out of “Summer House.”
DeSorbo ended her three-year relationship with Conover in late 2024. And, part of the reason for their break-up was her successful career. While Conover was ready to settle down and move out of New York City, DeSorbo was making girl boss moves.
Her “Giggly Squad” podcast with former co-star Hannah Berner has become so popular that it took the duo on a 60-city tour. They co-hosted the “Vanity Fair” Oscar Party livestream, released the book “How to Giggle” that immediately hit the New York Times Bestseller list, and started a YouTube series titled “Hannah and Paige Try New Things.”
Could the ‘Summer House’ star’s Instagram Bio be a Sign?
DeSorbo has an increasing amount of priorities that don’t seem to include being the star of “Summer House” for another season. This became evident when she recently removed the Bravo show from her Instagram bio.
Fans immediately noticed the change and started speculating that season 9 could be DeSorbo’s last. The reunion could bring answers about her future with the show, though. Reunion details are kept quiet. But, according to housemate Jesse Solomon on a recent Amazon Live, during reunion filming in April “there was a big announcement that we were all surprised by.”
He added that “the girls on our show are seasoned reunion queens.”
Paige DeSorbo Admits She Doesn’t Fit in Anymore
After the release of her book, DeSorbo sat down with “Glamour.” magazine and admitted that her days on “Summer House” are definitely numbered.
“There’s an end date for me at some point,” DeSorbo said. “With the lifestyle of ‘Summer House’ specifically, I’m probably not fitting into the original show idea anymore. Whenever I see a comment that’s like, ‘She’s a little too old to be on this,’ I’m like, Yeah, I kind of am.”
She understands that she is “probably not as fun to party with as a 25-year-old.” And noted that she would stay on reality TV if she was still living that party lifestyle.
“It’s only fun and real if it’s your lifestyle, and as I get older, I am straying away more and more from partying every weekend. I really can’t drink two nights in a row; I will pass away. I was actually nervous for this season to come out because I felt like I didn’t do anything this summer because I was so tired from working,” DeSorbo said.
Just because her “Summer House” days may be coming to an end, that doesn’t mean DeSorbo is walking away from reality TV forever. According to “Real Housewives” producer Andy Cohen, DeSorbo’s name has been brought up in the casting conversation for “Real Housewives of New York City.”
DeSorbo insists that a spot in the RHONY cast isn’t something she is working toward. She says that it would be “very hard” for her to assimilate. But, she would “never say never.”
