Asa Kaftans Closes: ‘Shahs’ Star Asa Soltan Rahmati Hangs Up Her Luxe Threads

It’s the end of an era — or at least the end of an elegantly draped one. Former “Shahs of Sunset” star Asa Soltan Rahmati has announced the closure of her boutique, Asa Kaftans, marking the final chapter of a business that fans watched her launch on Bravo. After years of bringing “Persian Priestess” glam to the masses, Rahmati is shutting up shop, proving that even kaftans, as flowing as they are, don’t always flow with the test of time.

A Farewell to Floaty Fashion

After more than seven years, Asa Soltan Rahmati is closing her kaftan store in Venice, California.

Taking to her personal Instagram account, Rahmati shared the news with followers in several heartfelt (and heavily accessorized) live posts. “End of an era!!!” she wrote, reflecting on years of serving up gold-drenched, boho-chic realness from her shopfront, located minutes from Venice Beach on the westside of Los Angeles.

Rahmati continued in her post, “We are closing the boutique after 7 and a half years. Listen to the live to hear why. I love you so much Goddess Gang. 🥰 We will be online only. Goddess Live Parties of course will continue. 💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽🪩I will have more time to create Art and Magic and be more present with my Family. 🙏🏽✨Also planning on touring with @goddessglowworkshop . 🙏🏽🧿✨😻💃🏽🪩 #AsaKaftans 20% off of everything with code GODDESSGANG here: AsaKaftans.com 💗.”

While it’s not known when the store will finally be closed for good, Rahmati hinted that it would likely be the end of January.

The boutique, known for its luxe, free-spirited designs inspired by Rahmati’s Persian heritage, became a go-to for anyone looking to channel their inner goddess — preferably with a messy topknot, oodles of jewels, and a bottle of the former Bravo star’s very own Diamond Water in hand.

Rahmati said in her Instagram clip she made the “bittersweet decision” to cease operations of the Asa Kaftans store but will will continue to operate in the digital space, freeing her up to spend more time with her young son and pursue other creative pursuits.

Fans React: From Nostalgic to ‘We Saw This Coming’

While some loyal customers lamented the end of an era, others in the “Shahs of Sunset” fandom weren’t exactly shocked. On Instagram, one fan commented, “Awe, I’m going to miss coming into the store to feel the fabrics. Plus the energy in the store was always amazing. I’m glad we can still shop online.”

Meanwhile, another Instagram commenter shared, “Venice and the whole Westside is my hometown and I am devastated about this loss. Every loss is hard, but this one hit different for me this time! Praying and sending lots of Love and ✨✨✨#I💙LA.”

Still, many praised Rahmati’s entrepreneurial journey, with longtime supporters reminiscing about when she first launched the brand on “Shahs of Sunset.” Viewers watched her hustle to turn her passion for art, culture, and all things decorative into a thriving business, all while navigating drama with her castmates.

Rahmati’s Next Chapter, Post ‘Shahs’ & Kaftans

While “Shahs” may be in Rahmati’s rearview mirror, her modern Persian fairytale with longtime love Jermaine Jackson Jr. — the nephew of Michael Jackson — is still very much in full swing, according to a recent post from Bravo. The couple share a son, eight-year-old Soltan, and Rahmati has been focusing on family, art and her spiritual pursuits — which may or may not involve manifesting more diamond-infused water into existence.

As for whether she’ll step back into the spotlight (or reality TV, for that matter), the jury’s out. But one thing’s for sure — kaftans may come and go, but the “Shah”-mazing Asa Soltan Rahmati will always find a way to go with the flow.
