Move over, Bravo fans — there’s a new plot twist in the “Shahs of Sunset” reality TV universe, and it’s messier than a pool-party showdown high in the Hollywood Hills.
Remember Dennis DeSantis, the man who managed to have his two-week Las Vegas marriage to former “Shahs” star Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi annulled faster than you can say “I do — actually, I don’t”?
Well, following those November nuptials, DeSantis now appears to be married to none other than Paulina Ben-Cohen — ex-fiancée of Mike Shouhed, Gharachedaghi’s former co-star on the Bravo reality series. This all happened in less than two months. Talk about a fast-moving, intricate web of romance that could give a Persian rug a run for its beautiful complexity.
On January 27, 2025, DeSantis and Ben-Cohen made what appeared to be their debut as a married couple, with the twosome sharing a series of snaps titled “cabo files” to their respective Instagram accounts. The photos featured the newlyweds posing on the beach in what was likely Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, and flashing matching diamond wedding bands on their ring fingers.
The new couple appeared to hint at their surprise engagement on Instagram in early January, sharing romantic photos from a festive-season getaway in New York City. In a January 3 post, DeSantis included a carousel of images where Ben-Cohen, 33, flaunted a sparkling diamond ring. He captioned it, “One of my favorite trips of all time to New York. She said yes 😀🤗❤️.”
On January 9, Ben-Cohen shared similar images of their getaway, captioning the photos, “Today, tomorrow, forever.”
The Twisty Love Triangle Bravo Fans Never Saw Coming
The surprise Cabo marriage has sparked plenty of chatter on social media, with fans flooding the couple’s Instagram posts with reactions ranging from disbelief to delight.
One follower gushed on Ben-Cohen’s post, “Did you both get married?? Happiness looks fabulous on you two lovebirds,” while another chimed in with a question that seemed to ponder if this was a shotgun wedding, asking, “Is it just me, but does her feet look oddly swollen?”
Even celebrities like Shanna Moakler got in on the action, with the model and ex-wife of Travis Barker responding to the earlier engagement announcement with, “Congrats beautiful I’m so happy for you both!!”
The Sun Sets on the Shah Vegas Nuptials
This engagement announcement and subsequent wedding comes just weeks after DeSantis and Gharachedaghi, who were apparently friends for more than a decade, finalized their annulment. Their whirlwind Las Vegas marriage, which they announced via since-deleted Instagram posts on November 11, ended almost as quickly as it began.
Gharachedaghi opened up about the sudden nature of their union and subsequent split during a candid December 11 interview on SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Live podcast, admitting they were “no longer married” and that they were only wed for “a week and a half,” adding, “Oh I would never want to be married to Dennis [again].”
The mother-of-one isn’t letting her annulment slow her down. She hinted at a romance with a mystery man identified only as “BJ,” telling Lewis of her brief marriage to DeSantis, “I think it was one of those things where I needed to get burned in order to realize I was just heartbroken and very much in love with BJ.”
As for DeSantis, the father-of-one has wiped all traces of Gharachedaghi from his Instagram, focusing instead on his budding union with Ben-Cohen.
For her part, Ben-Cohen’s love life has had its share of intrigue. The mother of two children from a previous relationship announced her engagement to Shouhed during the season 9 reunion of “Shahs of Sunset” in August 2021, according to People. It is not known when the two ended their engagement.
Gharachedaghi has yet to comment publicly on DeSantis’s relationship with Ben-Cohen. As for Shouhed, his Instagram is a mix of family photos and gym selfies — because nothing says “moving on” like sweating it out while your ex-fiancée embarks on her next marriage.
So, what’s next for DeSantis and Ben-Cohen? Wedding bells, Instagram captions, and possibly a spinoff series? Only time — and Bravo producers — will tell. Stay tuned, Shah-stans.
