Season 19 of “The Real Housewives of Orange County” has only aired one episode, but behind the scenes, big changes may already be underway. With one veteran reportedly ready to move on—and another newbie crashing and burning—fans should brace themselves for a serious cast shakeup.
Is This Heather Dubrow’s Final Season (Again)? ‘Her Heart Isn’t in It Anymore’
Dubrow may be saying goodbye to the 90210’s coastal cousin. According to a Bravo insider, season 19 of “The Real Housewives of Orange County” is shaping up to be the final bow for the longtime star.
“I think she’s done after this season. She’s made her mark, she did what she needed to do but her heart isn’t in OC,” the source told The U.S. Sun. “That’s no secret. She’s all over the world, she’s in LA. She’s not close with the cast.”
Dubrow, 56, originally joined RHOC in season 7 back in 2013 and quickly became a fan-favorite thanks to her luxe lifestyle and take-no-(expletive) attitude. After a five-season run, she left in 2016 to focus on her family, only to make a buzzy return in season 16. Since then, she’s showcased everything from a $55 million home sale to tension-filled reunions with the women.
Now, her attention seems to be focused on Los Angeles, where she and her husband, Terry Dubrow, purchased a penthouse in 2022. Her growing ties to “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” cast have only fueled rumors of a franchise crossover. Dubrow even teased the possibility in a past interview with The Wrap, saying, “Never say never. All I can say is all things are possible.”
‘The Real Housewives of Orange County’ Could Be Losing Another Star For an Entirely Different Reason
While Dubrow’s exit may feel like a natural next step, Katie Ginella’s potential departure comes with more behind-the-scenes drama.
Ginella, 41, joined RHOC during season 18, and according to production sources, she struggled to find her footing among the veteran cast. “Katie just doesn’t fit in with this group and fans will see… things are going to get a lot worse for her,” the insider revealed. “She is not cut out for reality TV. No way she’ll be back.”
The source added that the season 19 premiere is “not good for her,” and that her storyline spirals from there. Ginella reportedly feuded with multiple cast members, including Emily Simpson, Heather Dubrow, Tamra Judge, and Shannon Beador. She was also excluded from key group events, including being booted from a cast trip to Amsterdam.
In a previous U.S. Sun report, producers were already unsure about bringing her back next year. That uncertainty now appears to have turned into a near-certain exit.
New episodes of “The Real Housewives of Orange County” season 19 air Thursday nights on Bravo.
