Bravo Announces New ‘Real Housewives’ Show in a Never-Before-Done State

Bravo has announced a brand new franchise of “The Real Housewives,” and it’s in a newly-featured state.

On May 7, the network tweeted, “Today we announced FOUR shows coming to Bravo,” with one of them being “The Real Housewives of Rhode Island.”

“Set against the shores of the Ocean State, ‘The Real Housewives’ franchise expands into the world of a tight-knit circle of Rhode Islanders who have deep community roots and families that go back generations,” the description read.

Bravo continued, “With aspirational lives, thriving businesses and tangled family dynamics, these decade-long friendships prove that in a state this small, there’s no escaping your past … or each other.”

The Rumored Cast of ‘The Real Housewives of Rhode’ Island

According to X account Dorinda Deadly, the rumored cast for “The Real Housewives of Rhode Island” includes, Brianna LaTorre, Jo-Ellen Tiberi, Elizabeth McGraw, Monique Pass, Rosie Woods, Alicia Carmody, Stephanie Costa, and Kelsey Swanson.

“This is the first set of names I’ve received so take it with a pinch of salt! Will be interesting to see how this show shapes up!” Dorinda Deadly wrote.

Rumors of the new franchise made its way around social media last year, with Dorinda Deadly tweeting in December 2024, “‘The Real Housewives of Rhode Island’ is allegedly in the works.”

A ‘Real Housewives’ fan tweeted, “I just want something new i hope they come in swinging like RHOSLC.”

While the cast and premiere hasn’t yet been confirmed, Rhode Island officials are excited for the buzz the new franchise will bring to the state.

“We’re excited to welcome ‘The Real Housewives’ and their millions of viewers to Rhode Island,” Governor Dan McKee told WUN.

He continued, “Our state is home to vibrant communities, amazing food, rich history, and stunning coastal beauty — perfect for the spotlight. This is a great opportunity to support our local economy and bring national attention to all Rhode Island has to offer.”

House Speaker K. Joseph Shekarchi added, “The filming of ‘The Real Housewives of Rhode Island’ is a great way to showcase some of the Ocean State’s world-class dining and hospitality.”

“I am very proud to be a strong supporter of the Rhode Island Film & Television Office, because the arts are a vital part of Rhode Island’s culture and economy,” Shekarchi continued.

He told the Rhode Island publication, “From catering and site usage for filming to increasing tourism, the film and TV industry generates revenue for our local businesses and brings in millions of dollars to our state.”
