‘Summer House’ Star Addresses Reality TV Future

Paige DeSorbo has no interest in being the next hot new bombshell to enter the villa.

The ”Summer House” star spoke out in a new interview, six months after her breakup from her longtime boyfriend, “Southern Charm” star Craig Conover, to confirm she will not be joining “Love Island.”

Speaking with Elite Daily in May 2025, DeSorbo reacted to “Love Island” host Ariana Madix’s recent suggestion that she should join the Peacock dating show.

“What a queen. Thank you for manifesting for me, Ariana. That’s a girl’s girl,” DeSorbo, 32, said, before adding, “I don’t think I would ever go on it as a contestant. They’re all 21 years old — they’d be like, ‘Whose aunt is this?’ But I would love to host a challenge or do something with Ariana. I also want to see the house. I don’t think I’d stir the pot — once you’re a year younger than me, I think of you as a baby — but I would definitely want all the tea.”

In April, Madix  told E! News she would “love” to see DeSorbo on “Love Island.” “I think she would be so much fun,” the former “Vanderpump Rules” star said. “She’s hot and so smart, and witty, and I think she would just bring something really fun to the villa.”

Desorbo previously addressed fan questions on an Amazon Livestream and made it clear she had no plans to use her reality TV connections to join a dating show. When asked if she would ever go on the ABC reality show “The Bachelor,” she replied, “Never in my life. I would literally have to take seven beta-blockers. Are you kidding? That would be torturous.”

“And I don’t think I could ever be ‘The Bachelorette’,” she added. “Because it’s like, 20 straight men in one room is my literal nightmare. I would start crying. I’d be like, ‘Who let you out of the insane asylum? Get back in there!’ So no, I could never.”

DeSorbo’s hesitation isn’t limited to dating shows. In the Elite Daily interview, she explained why she won’t follow in her “Summer House” co-star Ciara Miller’s footsteps on the Peacock competition show “The Traitors.”

“I am so competitive. I’d crush ‘Traitors,’” DeSorbo said at first. But then she added, “But I don’t want to do the challenges. Wake up and do this scavenger hunt? Absolutely not. Are you kidding? No. I’m not running in a field.”
