“Summer House” star Paige DeSorbo reacted to rumors that she cheated on her ex-boyfriend, “Southern Charm” personality Craig Conover.
Page Six reported that DeSorbo denied the claims that she was unfaithful to Conover and was romantic with “Saturday Night Live” star Marcello Hernandez on her podcast, “Giggly Squad,” co-hosted by Hannah Berner.
“People were saying that I cheated on Craig with Marcello,” said DeSorbo on the January 7 podcast episode. “When I first saw that I died laughing.”
She then said she contacted Hernandez, who is friends with Berner, about the rumors.
“I just texted him, I was like, ‘Hey, just wanna let you know there’s, like, a rumor going around that I cheated on my boyfriend with you.’ And he was like, ‘[Expletive] yeah!’” said DeSorbo with a laugh.
DeSorbo also said that some social media users sent Hernandez hateful comments because of the rumors he caused the breakup. DeSorbo said she told Hernandez she was sorry about the situation.
Paige DeSorbo Said She Appreciated Support From Fans
During the January 7 “Giggly Squad” podcast episode, DeSorbo shared she appreciated fans who have supported her after she revealed she and Conover had ended their relationship on December 30. She said, however, that she has also received backlash.
“I knew that this week was going to be a little tough. I was not expecting, like, the amount of misogyny,” said DeSorbo.
DeSorbo also asserted that ending the relationship was “the right decision for [herself].”
Craig Conover Spoke About His Breakup
Page Six reported that Conover spoke about his breakup in a January 6 Instagram Story. Conover told his fans he did not expect the split, which occurred before Christmas.
Conover said, however, that the situation was “okay.”
“It takes two people to be in a relationship, and you can’t control other people. You can only control how you react to it,” said Conover on his Instagram Story.
Andy Cohen Shared His Thoughts About Paige DeSorbo & Craig Conover’s Split
People magazine reported that Bravo producer Andy Cohen commented on DeSorbo and Conover’s split in the January 6 episode of his radio program, “Andy Cohen Live.”
Cohen noted that DeSorbo has been focused on her successful career as a podcast host. He also referenced that Conover owns his company Sewing Down South and is opening a bar with Austen Kroll.
Cohen then suggested he is sadden but not shocked that the former couple ended their relationship.
“I was at the ‘Southern Charm’ premiere party. She wasn’t there at his place in New York. There have been a few events that she hasn’t [been at]. She’s just so busy and I just think the more and more that stuff starts to happen, you worry that it causes a strain,” said Cohen.
Craig Conover Shared How Paige DeSorbo Changed Him
In an exclusive email interview with EntertainmentNOW in September 2024, Conover shared how being in a relationship with DeSorbo changed him.
“I’ve grown up a lot!” shared Conover.
