‘Next Gen NYC’: Ariana Biermann Updates Fans on $10k NYC Apartment

Ariana Biermann was just a kid when her mom, Kim Zolciak, rose to fame on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” Now, at 23, Biermann has become a Bravo star on the hit series “Next Gen NYC,” where she documents her big-city dreams and grown-up challenges.

When season 1 premiered, fans watched her navigate apartment hunting with her boyfriend, Hudson McLeroy, while temporarily staying in a hotel. While they eventually landed a chic SoHo apartment—it came with a hefty price tag. But is the “Next Gen NYC” star still living in her luxury digs?

Ariana Biermann and Hudson McLeroy’s SoHo Apartment Came With a Pricey Surprise

In episode 4 of “Next Gen NYC,” Biermann and McLeroy finally moved into their dream New York apartment after a stressful hotel stay—but the downtown SoHo spot came with a shocking price: $10,000 a month. She admitted it was way over their original $6,000 budget, not to mention the $18,000 broker fee.

“We definitely exceeded the budget,” Biermann said during a confessional. “And a 15 percent broker fee. What the (expletive), New York?”

Still, the apartment wowed the couple. “There is ample amounts of space,” she said as they toured the unit. She gushed over the closet and was stunned the apartment featured both a tub and a shower. McLeroy, equally relieved, said, “Thank you lord, we have finally found a place. I could not live in a hotel for another day.”

She later shared their move-in moment on Instagram in July 2024, captioning a rooftop photo with McLeroy: “Taking our love story to a new city 🙂 We officially live in New York!!!!”

Even RHOA alum Zolciak made an appearance to visit her daughter—and was surprised by how quickly they’d furnished the apartment. However, she wasn’t too thrilled about possibly crashing on a giant bean bag.

After one year in SoHo, Biermann and McLeroy moved again. She posted about the transition, saying, “It’s so bittersweet saying goodbye to the place that started it all. Beyond blessed for all the memories.” She also thanked @roadwaymoving for making their next chapter in NYC seamless.

How the ‘Next Gen NYC’ Stars Afford Their NYC Lifestyle

On “Next Gen NYC” season 1, episode 5, Biermann opened up about the financial reality of New York life, telling fans on TikTok, “Now living in damn New York City, I need to be making a lot more money than I was making in Atlanta.”

The social media entrepreneur has built a solid digital following, boasting more than 402,000 followers on TikTok. Some of her videos rack up millions of views, including one sponsored by L’Oréal Paris that passed 11 million views. She revealed during the episode that she earns $1,000 per sponsored post—but with a pricey apartment and a clothing line in the works, she knows she needs to hustle harder.

“Right now I need to be doing everything that I can to generate even more money,” she said. “With my money going into this clothing line, and having to support myself.”

Meanwhile, McLeroy comes from serious money. His father, Zach McLeroy, is the billionaire founder of fast-food chain Zaxby’s. With more than 600 locations and a net worth of over $1 billion, according to Forbes, Zach is a restaurant mogul with deep Southern roots.

McLeroy has shared glimpses of that lifestyle on Instagram. In one post, he posed with his father and their Lamborghinis, writing, “Never thought I’d be 21 and own a car like this. I remember being that excited little 10 yr old telling my dad I’ll come home one day in a Lamborghini—and that day finally came.”

The season 1 finale of “Next Gen NYC’ airs Tuesday, July 22, on Bravo.
